Excursion: visit beautiful old 'Hanzestad' city of Deventer, this is the 'Bergkerk'. Zutphen is also a must! Both cities within a radius of ± 25 km.

The lovely Holten is located in a beautiful area of Overijssel: the Sallandse Heuvelrug National Park. This is a true paradise for hikers and nature lovers. Special bird species such as the nightjar have their breeding ground here. From Holten you can also take some nice day trips to other beautiful places, such as Ommen, Ootmarsum and Giethmen. Holten is located on the Holterberg hill. Here you will find numerous routes for cycling and walking, including the famous Pieterpad path.
