In the spring, beautiful bulb fields can be admired in the immediate vicinity of the house! There are beautiful cycling, walking or car trips. Schoorl aan zee and Hargen have lovely spacious, easily accessible beaches. This gives a lot of relaxation all year round.
Tip: Rent a boat at the park. The house is 15 kilometers away from the old Dutch, lively town of Alkmaar, with its world-famous cheese market. Boats can be rented at the bungalow park with which you can sail to and through the canals of Alkmaar. Recommended !

For mountain bikes: a true paradise! Various routes and well-maintained trails.
At Staatsbosbeheer an extensive (water) playground. Nice for a picnic.
The gnome path at Staatsbosbeheer is a great attraction for children.

Admire the sunset from a terrace; … that really is a holiday!
It is also wonderful to be in Schoorl in autumn

In the evening you will experience the silence of the Drents Friese would
Our kitchen has been expanded by placing an extra large but very energy-efficient refrigerator with a spacious freezer. We really like not to be dependent on a mini fridge!
In 2022 our shower was renovated and we made a very spacious walk-in shower and tiled the space with Portuguese tiles for a wonderful holiday feeling
The sitting area in the dining room has a nice sofa and matching chair and a table where you can sit with 6 people
A recently purchased quality sofa opposite the wood stove makes the upstairs room a wonderful place to unwind
In addition to plenty of seating, our living room also has a nice children's corner with toy boxes for the smallest guests
There is also a cozy corner and well-stocked toy boxes for the (small) children
The box bed got a new mattress and a new skylight in 2023 and is a super nice place to sleep for children!
The dormer window makes the master bedroom extra spacious and is a unique feature of our cottage
The entire upper floor has been attractively repainted
