Discover Thailand!

Thailand is a Kingdom in Southeast Asia and also known as: The Land of Smiles. The Northern of Thailand mainly exists out of a pristine tropical rain forest, densely forested and many wild animals. Southern Thailand is located on a peninsula with hundreds of islands, off the coast. Bangkok, the capital, is a city with more than 8 million inhabitants. Another famous, but smaller city is Chiang Mai also has many touristic sights, cozy restaurants and beautiful surroundings to offer.

Relax on the beach..

In the South there are popular beach resorts; Phuket and Hua Hin. A must for tourists who like to unwind on the beach, enjoy an azure sea and still want to be part of Thai life. The Thai is generally very friendly and welcoming. Also, the Thai are very helpful and proud of their country, faith and King. Everywhere you see posters, pictures and pendants of the King. Most of the population is Buddhist. Faith plays an important role in the life of a Thai.

Enjoy the Thai kitchen

The Thai people love to eat snacks. Small eateries can be found all over town, along the street and at tourist attractions. Rice and noodles are the foundation of a Thai meal and is usually supplemented by meat, poultry or seafood. Thai cuisine is spicy but if you prefer a milder meal, then choose: 'mai phet'. A typical dish that mainly occurs in southern Thailand is roti: a pancake with milk and sugar. In addition, much food is fried in a wok with fresh herbs and vegetables.
