All this is part of the Costa Cálida, the warm, calm coast with one of the healthiest climates in Europe and more than 300 days of sunshine a year.

It is also culinary enjoyment here for significantly lower prices than in the more touristy areas and with more than 10 restaurants in the immediate vicinity, there is plenty of choice. Famous here is the café asiático, which is only available in the restaurants in the Cartagena area and is the perfect end to the meal. One of the ingredients is the Licor 43, which is made here. A visit to the nearby factory with accompanying tasting is very worthwhile.
