We have enjoyed Curaçao and this bungalow at villa park Fontein for almost 3 weeks. We have been to Fontein before and therefore have a comparison with other houses.
Pros: House and furnishings are neat and equipped with many comforts with plenty of space, especially for 2 people. Kitchen equipment is fine, there is even an oven that was not in the description. We found beds very nice and the pool is a winner. For us, these facilities are the most important!
Small negatives: Dishwasher was missing from the description. Wardrobes are on the tight side, no hanging area. We found the comfort of the chairs on the verranda and of the lounge set a bit less, especially after sitting all evening. House is more expensive than previously rented homes, where the quality at the time was certainly not inferior.
What we would like to report for improvement: When we arrived around 8:30 p.m., the landlord was not present for reception. After a phone call from us, it turned out to be a self-check-in, which we had been informed of by app during our flight. Only we hadn't seen the app, because we didn't need internet on Hato and therefore hadn't looked for a Wi-Fi connection. After we knew what the intention was, it turned out that the garden gate was locked, so we had to climb over the large wall to reach the key. The whole scene (rightly) attracted quite a bit of attention from the neighbors. Not quite an arrival that you take into account after a long day of travel, shall we say, but in the end it all worked out. Next time we will turn on the internet at the airport.
Furthermore, we deliberately choose the somewhat remote location of this park to be closer to certain beaches. Willemstad is half an hour's drive away, so it's doable. If you like peace and quiet, a neat house and the sun in your swimming pool, then Bungalow Fontein is a very suitable holiday destination!
