apartment in South Limburg, Netherlands – Buitenverblijf `t Herfse - 2
Panoramic view over the picturesque hills of Limburg ... this is your view directly from the living room of the apartment and the adjoining terrace!
The kitchen is fully furnished and equipped with, among other things, a 4-burner gas stove, refrigerator with freezer, combi microwave, filter coffee and Nespresso machine, and cozy crockery.
Right next to the kitchen there is a cozy dining area.

Guaranteed wonderful sleep in the box spring bed at comfort height (= 60 cm.) with 7-zone pocket spring mattresses and a 2-person topper!
On the bed are single duvets (140 x 220 cm long) and 2 pillows per person.
The bathroom was recently renovated and equipped with a luxury shower, sink and toilet.
The shower is 130 x 80 cm and equipped with a built-in thermostat with rain and hand shower.
Detail of the mirror box that on both sides is provided with a funny lamp. Spicy story: one of our guests told us that they are excited for the first time in her life romantic peed had only those lamps to the bathroom ... ;-) In the mirror, the rain shower visible.

A lovely holiday home in a quiet, spacious spot in the park. Lots of privacy.
There is green everywhere around the house! A nice tree to sit under in the shade. If you sit still, you will regularly see a squirrel scurrying around...

Tastefully furnished living room with lots of light. Comfortable sofa and armchairs. The house has underfloor heating so that you do not get cold feet.

From the kitchen you walk into the living room.
From the kitchen you look into the garden. The kitchen is fully equipped. There is a dishwasher, combi microwave / oven, coffee maker, Nespresso machine, kettle, fridge with freezer compartment, hand blender....
The kitchen is attractively and practically furnished.
It is wonderful to cook in this fine kitchen! We provide a kitchen towel, tea towel, washing-up brush, sponge and dishcloth.

Beds made on arrival. That's nice if you can get into bed in the evening
The second bedroom is also nicely furnished with good mattresses and beds made on arrival.
A cozy bedroom with lots of light. The room is attractively decorated. There are two single beds with good mattresses. The room has plenty of light and a blackout curtain.

From the bedroom, kitchen and living room you can see the squirrels playing in the garden.
A very nice large garden around the whole house. You can always choose between sun and shade.
A lovely sunny spot in the garden. There is also a garden set under the tree, in the shade. A barbecue and parasol are available for our guests.
Lots of garden and greenery around the house. The garden is very spacious.
Squirrels snack on the nuts in the garden of the adjacent holiday home. You can admire this beautiful statue while enjoying a cup of coffee inside, or sitting outside in the garden.
During the Christmas period, our house is brought into the Christmas spirit
Of course we put up the Christmas tree for you in the month of December. Extra cozy!

Very cozy in and around the cottage in the middle of winter!
The park exudes a wonderful atmosphere when there is some snow. From each room you can enjoy the winter garden! In the evening it is cozy and warm in the holiday home.

This makes us proud!
There are 2 climbing parks in the area. In Brunssum (het Plateau) and in Landgraaf at Snowworld. Who dares to take up the challenge?
The barefoot path in Brunssum is an absolute must! Fun for young and old ...
The German Eifel is really beautiful to visit all year round. For example Monschau. It is only 35 kilometers from Simpelveld ..
Ven, sand, heather and forest come together on the Brunssummerheide. You can enjoy walking here. And look for the most beautiful mushrooms!
Every season really has its charm here at the park! Mushrooms, chestnuts, squirrels galore, beautiful spring blossom .....
The park has several playgrounds for our youngest guests!
You can take a lovely walk in the Vijlenerbos. Maybe with coffee or lunch at the Panting Deer?

The bedroom is furnished with very comfortable beds to comfort height (= 60 cm.).
It is wonderful to sleep on the 7-zone pocket sprung mattresses that lie in this box spring ... The holidays can start right away when you give to us when booking that you wish made beds upon arrival. But you can of course do it yourself or choose to bring your own linen.
The bathroom is completely renovated in early 2011 and turned into a fine badderruimte! There is a luxurious, spacious walk-in shower (hand and rain shower), sink and toilet.
Ever romantic pee? One of our guests verklapte us that they join us for the first time as experienced ... ;-)

On the other bedroom has two 1-person divan beds at comfort height (60 cm.). Both beds are equipped with a 1-person 4-season duvets and two pillows per bed. Left (not visible in photo) is again a large wardrobe. It is also possible against the beds can be slid together with the head end against the left wall, resulting in a comfortable bed 2 is created.
The bathroom is completely renewed and equipped with a spacious shower room with wonderful rain and hand shower, sink and hanging toilet.

Lovely lounge area between the fruit trees in the orchard.
In the orchard there are various types of fruit trees: apple, pear, cherries and plums. It is organic, unsprayed fruit that you can pick and taste to your heart's content. There are also walnut trees and a large sweet chestnut tree.
Our son Thom shows off the proceeds of an hour collecting ;-)

A winter picture ...
The farmer used to bake his own bread and pie in this bakery. The door on the left was the entrance to the toilet; nice and warm in winter when the oven was fired ;-). Today, the bakery mainly serves as a storage and bicycle shed.

Schweiberg environment; a swing gate invites you for a walk through the meadow.
Hiking trail from Schweiberg to the village of Epen. A trip of only 800 meters, but ... first you have to steeply descend and then steeply climb again. It is no problem though considering the good perspective: in Epen cozy terraces await you!
A characteristic group of timbered houses called Plate in Terziet, a hamlet near Epen. Pure nostalgia!

The cozy boscafe The Panting Deer in Vijlenerbos. With an open terrace, cozy farm animals, a variety of specialty beers and delicious food for a fair price it has all the ingredients for a fine (after-) afternoon or evening.
