The lodge was beautiful and stylish. I found the location between old mobile homes and cottages less pleasant. When all the houses have been refurbished and the field is more decorated with plants, you have a better view when you sit in front of the house. Now that felt a bit shabby. The photos don't give a picture of this either and I understand why that wasn't done. It's a bit of a shame.

It was a lovely cottage. We were 3 people and that was more than enough because the cottage is in reality smaller than you expect. I wouldn't rent it out for 4 people anymore, it's really too small for that, especially the bedr...

It was a lovely cottage. We were 3 people and that was more than enough because the cottage is in reality smaller than you expect. I wouldn't rent it out for 4 people anymore, it's really too small for that, especially the bedrooms. Even though there are 2 children, it is too small. It would be kinder if you put some wipes, a mop in front of the door for when it is wet and e.g. 1 or 2 dishwashing tablets. Tip: hang some hooks in e.g. the bedrooms, the kitchen, the bathroom, you had nowhere to put your towels or some clothes and because you can only just walk around the beds, everything you put on the floor is in the way. The service was also great, a broken spot or a blind was immediately made by a very friendly gentleman. The cottage was brand new and well insulated. The price quality was therefore good, but because it was smaller than expected, this ratio became a bit less, especially because we were in a week out of season.

The first week of August 2020 started to get very hot; However, despite the lack of any form of air cooling, we had a fantastic week. The Lodge is fully furnished and is located in a very quiet place with a large clearing in front of the cottage. For someone who wants silence, this is a chosen place. The village of Callantsoog can be done on foot and has all the amenities you need for a carefree holiday. The beaches are large and can also be reached after a short walk. We explored part of the coastline through the dune area by bike; We enjoyed a fantastic landscape. In short: highly recommended; Maybe we'll come back here again!
