Interesting facts about Llagostera
- The local football club - UE Llagostera - was promoted to the second division of the Spanish league in 2014. This made Llagostera the smallest Spanish place to have a club in this division.
- Their own football stadium (Estadi Municipal de Llagostera, 1,500 seats) did not meet the requirements of the association, so the club had to move to Palamós.
- Every July and August, there’s a large international music festival in nearby Sant Feliu de Guíxols.
- Tip for a city trip: if you hire a car or take the train, it will only take you 75 minutes to get to Barcelona.
