The attractive living room is, just like the bedroom and the study, equipped with separately controlled air conditioning.
On the upper terrace there is a sea view. Great to start your day here with a cup of coffee, sunbathe on one of the two sunbeds or end the day with a spectacular sunset.
Ground floor bedroom Kingsize bed (1.80 x 2.00 m), including ceiling fan, air conditioning, wardrobe and large mirror. Fitted with shutters and mosquito nets.

La Tierra Sur Beach House Malaga El Palo is a beautifully restored authentic fisherman's house from 1948 and is located in a quiet pedestrian street.
This house is also very suitable for a longer stay. We have a separate lockable office on the ground floor, equipped with a table, office chair and armchair. There is another workplace on the 1st floor. This makes it extremely suitable for 'working from home' or a 'workaction' from sunny Malaga.
Nice to have a separate office to work. Super fast WiFi makes it easy to 'work from home' or hold a 'workaction' in Malaga.

We have both Dutch and English travel guides that can be used by the guests. In addition, there is also an extensive information guide with our own (eating) tips.
You cook on induction. Or you can enjoy a nice meal in one of the many eateries in the area ;-).
In the living room we have a smart TV and an Amazon Prime Video subscription where you can watch (free) movies and series. If you have a Netflix account yourself, you can log in to it via this TV.
Vacation means convenience! That's why we obviously have a dishwasher. For those who prefer to wash dishes by hand, we also have a dish drainer ;-).
There are many wonderful restaurants nearby. But also in the house you can enjoy delicious food on the terrace.
The windows in the bedrooms are fitted with mosquito nets.
In the cupboard under the stairs you will find things such as a drying rack, vacuum cleaner, cleaning supplies and an iron.

Our beach cart is ready for the guests. Easy to take the chairs, cool box, umbrellas and other items that are available. The beach of El Palo is only a 1.5 minute walk from the house!

We have a separate tap for filtered drinking water. So no more hassle with bottles and better for the environment!
We rent out two sturdy Dutch city bikes. Ask for the possibilities. Ideal for cycling to the center of Malaga or exploring the east side of El Palo.
The little ones have also been thought of. We have a cot and high chair available on request. Children's plates and cutlery are also provided.
We are also happy to contribute to a better environment with separated waste.
In the kitchen is the washing machine with built-in dryer. The laundry dries even faster on the roof terrace where a washing line can be found.
The house is located in a car-free street with similar low-rise houses.

The villa has three spacious bedrooms with a total of 6 sleeping places. There is a new baby cot available as well.

The large veranda (of over 53m2) offers plenty of shade and (also) a lot of atmosphere in the evening. Here too there is an opportunity to eat and work outside.

The veranda is equipped with a large dining table (with fan above), BBQ and wood stove (for the cool evenings in the late or early season).
In the conservatory/dining room there is a large dining table for at least 8 people. From the conservatory there is a beautiful view over the terrace, pool and the surrounding area.
In the conservatory/dining room there is a pellet stove for the cooler winter evenings. With the push of a button, this heater turns on.
In the living room there is a small dining table that can also serve as a workplace.
The living room has a comfortable sofa with matching ottoman and armchair, a SmartTV with Chromecast, a wood stove, fan and central (adjustable) air conditioning (hot/cold).

The kitchen is fully equipped and has its own air conditioning. The washing machine, dishwasher and combi/microwave oven are in the open utility room.
All necessary kitchen appliances are available. Cooking on induction with extractor hood above. Spices, oil/vinegar, detergent, dishwasher cubes - everything is there. Please complete it yourself!
The covered terrace (18m2) on the side of the house is accessible from the kitchen. From here there is a beautiful view over the valley and the sunset. This covered terrace is located on the West. Also a lovely place to eat outside at sunset in the evening!
On the old water reservoir there is a washing place with a natural stone terrace. Walled for shelter, privacy and security. Great for a late drink and dinner!
Bedroom 1 is located at the rear of the house and has a double bed, a large built-in closet, a bathroom en suite and air conditioning.

Sun sculpture with Bougainvillea. The garden has many beautiful plants and trees. Everything is irrigated automatically (except for the potted plants around the terraces - please water them yourself!).
The garden has many fruit trees, eg. Pear, cherry, fig, mango, avocado and of course our own citrus trees in all kinds etc.

There is also a place of their own for the little residents :-).
The 'lost' village of El Acebuchal is a beautiful destination for a hiking trip from Cortijo Algarrobo. It has a few nice restaurants.

From the balcony you have a fantastic view of the valley. The dawn and sunset in particular are simply breathtaking to behold.
Welcome to Casa del Algarrobo, located in Los Capitos, province of Andalusia. Near Torre del Mar (coastal town) and Canillas de Aceituno. Via the path down, our house is located at the end of the path. First you will find the entrance to the larger house via the entrance as shown.

From the entrance you enter the cozy living room. If you walk through the hallway, you will find 2 bedrooms and a bathroom. You go up the stairs to the large bedroom. Furthermore, the house has a large kitchen with all modern amenities.

Via the stairs in the living room you go to the bedroom on the 1st floor. This bedroom is unique in the sense that it has air conditioning, private bathroom with shower, toilet and sink and a private balcony overlooking the valley.
There is another bedroom directly adjacent to the terrace. The terrace can be closed via the fence.

Loungers by the pool offer the desired comfort either in the sun or in the shade of the Algarrobo tree.

The two residential units are connected by the large communal terrace. Everyone comes together here for snacks and drinks. There is a barbecue on the terrace. You can reach the private swimming pool via the stairs behind the smaller house.

The nearest beach (the Costa del Sol) is Playa Torre del Mar, a 15-minute drive from our home. A coastal town that is pleasantly busy in the summer, with countless shops, cozy bars, cafes and restaurants.

Our property is located in the mountains of the Sierra Tejeda nature reserve. There are several car and walking routes that pass through characteristic villages. One of those villages is Canillas de Aceituno, the nearest village (approx. 10 minutes by car).
