Holiday homes in Alhaurín de la Torre
Alhaurín de la Torre is one of the charming "white villages" of
Andalusia. The town is located in the beautiful Gualdalhorce Valley, 10 minutes' drive from
Málaga, and is named after the Gualdalhorce river, which has flowed through the landscape here for centuries. Thanks to the river and fertile soil, the region has been considered the ‘garden of Málaga’ since ancient times. This can be clearly seen (and smelt) in the many orchards of oranges, lemons and olives. A holiday home in Alhaurín de la Torre is therefore an ideal destination for nature lovers who enjoy walking or cycling. Here, you can also enjoy many
nature homes with the authentic atmosphere of the Spanish countryside. And not just that, Alhaurín de la Torre is also close to the beaches on the
Costa del Sol!
Culture and beach go hand in hand
The Gualdalhorce Valley is the natural gateway between the coast and the inland villages. As a result, Alhaurín de la Torre has the best of both worlds. Within 15 minutes, you can get to
Torremolinos, a famous seaside resort with excellent facilities for swimming, wind surfing and sailing. A little further down the road is
Benalmádena Costa, another nice holiday resort where you’ll find everything you need for a wonderful day full of sun, sea and sand. But Alhaurín de la Torre itself is also a great place to be. Go for a walk through the quaint old streets and discover the village’s rich history. A holiday home in Alhaurín de la Torre is also a good choice for families with children. Throughout the area, you’ll find numerous attractions, and with a
playground and swimming pool nearby, there’s always something to do. However, a car or hire car is recommended if you want to visit most sights in the area.
