We, Dorothé and Ben Fros and daughters Layla and Stephanie, welcome you to this page of our house "Les Vignes". This house, built in 1978, we bought in 2003 after we fell in love with the house and its surroundings. . Lovely quiet location in the middle of the vineyards, near the hills and mountains, many nice places in the area and 5 minutes to the sea. Outside the rental season we are regularly in Les Vignes and enjoy the Provencal life. You are most welcome

Additional information

From Tulette it is about 1 km to the villa. The last part you drive through a half-paved path through the vineyard (AOC!) With a right view on the hills, on the village of Tulette and in the distance the Mont Ventoux. To the left a wide view over the vineyards. Arriving at the villa there is on the left a typical Provencal grange (old farmhouse, property of the vineyard owner!) And on the right the entrance gate to the villa.Next to the fence an old well. It is not a wishing well but who knows .......... Through the gate (you can park your car in front of the garage) you enter the large garden and via the gravel path at the entrance of the villa.
GUIDED TOUR OF THE HOUSE with 3 steps you will be on the porch / covered terrace at the front door. Upon entering the hall left the double doors to the living room with modern, light interior. A large dining table with eight chairs, dresser with crockery for 10 people, large fireplace with comfortable sofas (one two three seater + 2 seater + 1 single seater bench). When the doors to the studio are satellite HD TV (94 cm), DVD player (including DVDs) and a full stereo system with CD player (including CDs), tuner and tape deck. The satellite TV offers over 100 TV channels including most Dutch channels. And with the WiFi keeps you in touch "with the outside world." Through the double doors, go down the stairs to the studio. (See below) Back at the front door is the Provencal to the right kitchen with breakfast / dining area. Sitting at the kitchen is visible from the kitchen window a magnificent view over the garden and the vineyards beyond. A built-in dishwasher, hob (1 electric + 3 gas) and built-in oven. Behind the closet door next to the oven, a microwave and storage. And finally a double fridge / freezer in the corner. In the kitchen are also still several small appliances like a toaster, coffee maker, kettle and toaster. Through the connecting door into the hallway you enter the'slaap-gedeelte'. With left a luxurious tiled toilet separate from the bathroom. The bathroom is tiled and has a vanity with large mirrors, halogen lighting and double sinks. Opposite the bath with special shower area. Also located in the hallway on the left'gele' the bedroom, comfortably furnished with two single box springs, 2 single summer duvets and pillows. Clothing can be parked in the sliding closet. The room has a wide view of the flower meadow behind with vineyards and hills. The middle bedroom is warmly decorated'roze' bedroom, again with 2 single box spring beds, duvets, pillows and a fitted folding door wardrobe for your clothes. This bedroom has views over the pool. The main bedroom is at the front of the house facing south. This room is decorated in Provencal colors and we call'paarse' bedroom. Again with 2 single box spring beds, duvets and pillows. Again, the assembly (leg) closet for your clothes. From this room you have a view on the terrace and voortuin.In the hallway you will find a cupboard with vacuum cleaner, iron and ironing board, safe, etc. Back in the living room, go through the double doors, down the steps into the large studio ( 45m2). Here are include two single divans, dining area and a spacious seating area / couch. In addition, a 2nd-stereo set. Right back in the studio is a door giving access to the garden overlooking the pool. Back left is the entrance to the (5th) bedroom with two beds, hanging / wardrobe and seating. Behind this bedroom is the 2nd bathroom. The fully tiled bathroom has a modern vanity with double sinks. In addition, a very large mirror (200 x 70) with halogen illumination. On the other side, the shower cubicle is installed. Next to the bathroom is a separate toilet and laundry room with washer, dryer and double sink with countertop. For our little guests in the villa three Hauck baby camping cots, three high chairs and a baby bath available. For our senior guests we can request a wheelchair and / or a walker set up complete with ramps. That saves the carry luggage.
The garden has the atmosphere of a park.Bij the entrance to the grounds is a large weeping willow and on the other a rose garden, olive and pine. Before the house is a large mulberry tree that provides shade on the terrace. Besides the covered part of the terrace is the barbecue with garden furniture. Further down the garden are several species of trees and shrubs. Fruit trees like some cherries (ripe in May!), Almond, hazelnut, fig, pomegranate and olive. "Ordinary" trees like birch, cypress, mulberry, pine and weeping willow. And besides various shrubs, lilacs, rose garden, oleander and lavender. Around the plot to hinder insight that one hunter, a hedge of many species of shrubs. Behind the house is a large meadow where in spring in a wide variety of wild flowers (including wild daffodils) is flourishing.
The fenced (requirement of the French government) pool is about 20 meters from the house in the middle of the park-like garden. The L-shaped pool measuring 10 x 5.7 meters, and is a maximum of 1.70 meters deep. It has a gently sloping stone staircase, in the deep part is still a zwembadtrap.Rondom the pool is a tiled terrace with stone seating, loungers and parasols. Lighting at several points around the pool and underwater lighting make swimming at night is a magical place. To enhance the atmosphere are to the terrace lavender, oleander and planted a palm. When the pool is a large pool house. It has a large roof where you can sit in the sun. Under this roof, there is a summer kitchen with a bar with a refrigerator, cooker and sink with hot and cold water. In addition, there is a modern bathroom with shower and toilet, as well as the engine room for the pool in the pool house. Imagine for: The evening illuminated swimming pool in a further moon and stars dimly lit garden, cocktails from the bar and doting some laps in the pool, languidly lying on a sun lounger in the warm summer night. It's possible!! If you make the cocktails but themselves, the rest is settled.
The distance from the villa to the center of the nearby village of Tulette is approximately 1 km. Here you will find amenities such as a bank with ATM, post office, doctor, pharmacy, two bakeries, two supermarkets and a butcher. In addition, a number of bars and restaurants (including a pizzeria). On Monday morning, the weekly market takes place. It is also possible to hire bikes Tulette.

Tulette is located in the south of the Drôme Provençale, on the edge of the Vaucluse and the Enclave des Papes and approximately 15 km from the Autoroute du Soleil. Across the motorway is the Ardeche and Gard.
East of Tulette is the area quickly in hilly area with vineyards, lavender fields and olive groves.

Tulette is located amidst the vineyards of the Cotes du Rhone (also runs once the route of the Cotes du Rhone), near the castles of Suze la Rousse (University of wine!) And Grignan. It is a real wine village with a number of caves, which can be visited and where you can taste. For good wine you need not go far. Our neighbor Philippe makes himself a fine wine from the grapes from the vineyards surrounding the villa that he will be happy to let you taste. And the advantage is that you have to overcome just 50 meters after tasting the villa. That saves it ..........
At the beautiful town of Nyons (approx. 18 km) the hilly area changes into a rougher area with mountains, narrow gorges and streams. In particular, the variety of landscapes in this area will win your heart! Opportunities for day trips are available on an extensive scale in this very beautiful area. For example to Vaison-la-Romaine with its Roman excavations, Nyons with its terraces, large weekly Provencal market (Thursdays) and olive museum, Orange, Avignon and not forgetting the Mont Ventoux from where you have a breathtaking view of the Mediterranean to the Alps. Gorges with streams are a short distance away, a little further away are the Gorges de L'Ardeche and the Mediterranean Sea (to Marseille is approximately 5 minutes by car). The following activities are possible in the nearby area (max. 30 minutes by car): Swimming, horse riding, walking, cycling, mountain biking, (gliding) flying, tennis and golf. CITIES As mentioned, there are many nice towns in the area that are worth a visit: - Vaison-la-Romaine with its Roman excavations is 15 km away (you can see excavated shopping streets, houses and an Amphi theater), weekly Provencal market and antiques and curiosities market. Many terraces, restaurants and a number of large supermarkets. - Nyons is 18 km from Tulette and is known for its ancient Roman bridge, olive museum and lavender distillery. Nyons also has an old town center, a large Provencal market on Thursdays and many terraces and restaurants. - Suze-la-Rousse is known for its large castle, in which the wine university is located. - Grignan also has an impressive castle and Le Village Provencal miniature as its counterpart. - Saint-Restitut has the Caves Cathedrales, old quarries where wine is now stored. You can visit these and take a tour. - A crocodile farm can be seen in Pierrelatte and Montelimar has the Miniature Museum. In the Drome Provencale are 3 of the 100 most beautiful villages in France, namely Poet Laval, La Garde Adhemar and Mont Brun-les-Bains. These are certainly worth a visit, just to taste the atmosphere of those old villages. A little further away are Orange, Avignon (Pont d'Avignon), the Pont du Gard and the Gorges de L'Ardeche. An idea for car trips in the area: follow the lavender route, the olive route or the wine route. And to top it all, the route that goes over Mont Ventoux. This is an absolute must!
This giant of Provence (over 1900 m high) is dominant in the landscape of the Drome Provencale and the Vaucluse. From its bare top (hence its nickname the bare mountain) you can enjoy incredibly beautiful sunrises and sunsets. But it is also an experience during the day! On one side you can see the Mediterranean Sea on a clear day, on the other side are the snowy Alps. And not seldom do you sit at the top above the cloud cover. Quite a few tenants have climbed Mont Ventoux by bike. There are 3 routes to the top. From the north side (Malaucene), the south side (Bedoin) and the east side (Sault). Very good to do with the car, with the bike is another story! Advice: the Sault route is the most beautiful route up by car. (By bike this is the route for the sisters). The Mont Ventoux is a paradise for botanists due to its floral richness. In the spring during the flowering season, the ventoux becomes a giant beehive, during the fall a climb is enchanting by the multicolored foliage. And in winter it can reach -27 C at the top. Chance of snow showers from November to May. The road to the top is therefore closed to traffic from mid-November to mid-April.
EXPERIENCES IN 2021

A score of 9 for the whole house but a 10 for the sleeping accommodation and the swimming pool !!
We don't easily give a 10 because then it must be fantastic. So a 9 is already an excellent score in our eyes.
Very worthwhile to rent with several families. The swimming pool is a big plus, especially when it is very hot.
All in all we had a great holiday. Thanks for that.
========================================================= ==============
Final grade of our stay 9.0, in summary TOP.
We got the real 'French' feeling in this house, partly due to the location and the interior. We had a nice week.
========================================================= ============
We would like to tell you that we really enjoyed your holiday home in Tulette.
We have known the area for 40 years, but what a wonderful place.
The house was well equipped, wonderful beds, fortunately no French bed.
My question is therefore, “we still want to do it again, next year”.
(is now booked for 2023)
========================================================= =============
We would like to thank you for using your villa. We had a great time. The swimming pool was especially good, I liked it with the children.
We have taken care of it as if it were our own.
========================================================= =============
It was delicious. We made a lot of use of the BBQ. And of course the great pool.
We visited nice villages and we were lucky with the beautiful weather with the tour on Mont Ventoux. Thanks for all the tips.
========================================================= ==============
What a house, what an environment, what a swimming pool and what a spacious garden. In 1 word great.
We had a wonderful week. Made a lot of use of the pool but also made beautiful trips.

Also to the top of Mont Ventoux. Those who had never been there were thoroughly impressed.
Everyone really enjoyed this week.

EXPERIENCES IN 2020

In mid-April, the stay appears to be in jeopardy due to the Corona restrictions, but in mid-June: the green flag.
We find a beautiful villa with all amenities, lots of space, but above all a lovely swimming pool. The area has a lot to offer, too much to mention. We enjoyed the house, the surroundings, the neighbor's wine, the weather and especially the pool.
========================================================= ==============
What a nice stay: a spacious house for our whole family. Enjoyed the outdoors: walking to Tulette, the fresh bread from the bakery, building dams in L'Aigue and of course the super nice swimming pool. We will enjoy this pleasant stay for a long time.
========================================================= ==============
Overwhelmingly beautiful this beautiful house "Les Vignes". What a beautifully situated paradise in the middle of the vineyards to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary, comfortable and convenient.
Wonderful places to chill, drink coffee on the terrace, lunch under the mulberry and what a relief to have the pool all to yourself. Half past five drinks time at the pool, then gradually move to the BBQ and then when the evening falls a drink under the stars. Thanks bien!!!
========================================================= ==============
Villa "Les Vignes" lives up to its name. A great location in the middle of the vineyards.
The garden has many beautiful quiet corners where you can also retreat.
The pool is super cool. The pool house with bar also provides shelter for the pool. The dart board, table tennis table and various water features ensure that there is something for everyone. The terrace with its large BBQ outdoor kitchen is great.
The interior equipment is fine and generously equipped. Lots of seating in the living room, which we have not used due to the beautiful weather. The beds are fine, we all slept very well. The studio is a good place for a family with small children who still need their rest.
This was a prime location to spend a week together. Les Vignes, a la prochaine....
========================================================= =============
We are now back in the Netherlands and have had a great time in “Les Vignes”. We really liked the house, garden, swimming pool and surroundings! Worth a repeat.
========================================================= ==============
We had a great holiday in your beautiful home, the children were happy with their own home, so to speak.
And then the swimming pool, everyone had a good time in it. But we also had beautiful weather.
We will definitely come back to Les Vignes, looking at when.
