Surrounded by mountains, deciduous trees, springs and a babbling brook, the colourful holiday home Le Rêve is located in a wide valley at an altitude of 700 metres, where the summers are pleasant, there are few mosquitoes and the nights remain wonderfully fresh.
The spacious house has a fantastically equipped kitchen and is surrounded by a large, natural and enclosed garden with several terraces in sun and shade, a private pool and hot tub and plenty of space for children to play and explore. You can cook and enjoy together with the pizza oven, barbecues, plancha, paella pan and crepe maker.
A short distance away is also the spectacular Gorges de la Méouge, with beautiful natural swimming spots.
The village of Lachau is just a 10-minute walk away. Here you will find a cozy bistro where you can eat delicious food and where an atmospheric Provencal market takes place on Saturdays.

The house is located in a picturesque area just outside the medieval provencal village of Lachau! in the Provençal Drôme and bordering the Alpes Hautes Provence, Hautes Alpes and the Vaucluse.
The sun shines here 300 days a year. Nice cool nights and very important... there are no or few mosquitoes!
If you search the internet for "the most beautiful natural swimming spots in France. then you will find: The azure blue river Méouge at the top of the page with most beautiful places. 21 kilometers of beautiful paradisiacal Blue Lagoon spots and you can jump off the waterfall at the end of the Meouge.
In short, Le Rêve is a paradise for nature lovers, cyclists, sports enthusiasts, peace seekers, sun worshippers, hikers and painters.
Celebrating your holiday is a celebration in a cosy, colourful house where you immediately feel "at home". And the cheerfulness of Provence is reflected in the different colourful rooms, each with its own atmosphere.
Enjoy cooking in the kitchen which is well equipped with: a large stove with 5 gas burners and electric oven, two refrigerators -including an American fridge with ice maker-, a large combi oven / microwave, two dishwashers and a spacious U-shaped counter with bar stools to cook with several people!
The adjacent conservatory has a cozy sitting area with sound system and TV with Dutch (sports), Flemish channels and a chromecast.
You sit together at long tables that can comfortably accommodate 17 people. And from the conservatory you have beautiful views of the terrace, garden, pool and valley with the surrounding mountains.
On the first floor of Le Rêve you will find two spacious cozy living rooms, 4 bedrooms and three bathrooms.
On the second floor are four bedrooms and a bathroom.
The bedrooms are equipped with comfortable twin beds, box springs and 1 double bed. Most bathrooms have their own sink.
There are two fully fitted kitchens and a south-facing balcony of 14 m2.
Everywhere in the garden there are beautiful sun and shade spots with wooden tables and lazy sun chairs.
There is a large round barbeque at the, in the evening, illuminated swimming pool!
You can enjoy and dream away in the evening sun for a long time on the swing bench at the idyllic spot on the river where your children can build dams and paddle to their heart's content.
In the house is a folder with all the information about the area, shops and activities that you can do. The Mont Ventoux is a big attraction but there is much more to enjoy here.
I do the maintenance of the house, garden and swimming pool myself. I am staying in a completely separate living space on the north side of the house.
