Itinerary from Nyons: Follow the D94 towards NO Villeperdrix and pass successively the villages Aubres, Les Pilles and Curnier. Three kilometers after the D567 Curnier Eyroles left to take a very narrow asphalt road, where it is difficult to cross, with two or three sharp hairpin bends. The scenery is lovely, never with steep ravines, so that even the lesser bergrijfanaat should handle this. Eyroles is also accessible from the other side, through Saint Ferréol Trente Pas, but this part of the D567 meanders from one hairpin turn in the other upstairs. One is so sharp that he should be taken in two movements.

Parking: In Eyroles, only five houses large, it is not easy to get rid of the car. Just beyond the village, in the grass left side, on the edge of a abricozenplantage must however manage to have five to station. Behind La Mairie (last house on the left) can stand a few.

Especially:
Landscape, butterflies

The Walk:

Setting: We look at all angles of a high plateau, where grain fields, meadows, ridges with maquis, wild flower rich grasslands, mixed coniferous and deciduous forest and abricozenplantages alternate. Left and right are also a couple cherry trees that - a bonus - the end of June ripe fruit.

Course: From 'La Mairie "of Eyroles we follow the asphalt road 300 meters. Then we hit a double rut right. We begin with a brief bright climb through wooded terrain with some small arid grasslands include burnt orchid. After 100 altimeters to have overcome, we go on top of a hill and the landscape becomes more open. Maquis with boxwood, juniper and broom determine the stage and alternate with rough grassland and what veldbos, mainly consisting of the. Right we have a nice view of the Mont Ventoux and the other hills and mountains that define the plateau. It is pleasant to walk along this ridge, without significant altitude. The ridge ends at the Col Fabre (591 m). We are now a good 2.5 km on the road and may have a long list may be listed butterfly and the red bosvogeltjes are also a bonus. After the Col Fabre makes a sharp turn to the right path. Just after the bend to the left shows a yellow wegwijzertje 'Villeperdrix' to. Who wants to do it very slowly may follow the road (A) and is slowly falling well after 2.5 km at the starting point again. The planned walk goes left, the path to Villeperdrix on. It is over one kilometer climb by an angry bunch, with left and right a small lawn, the Montagne de Sigala to 754 m at the T we turn right and follow the wooded hillside, along a double trail. A few hundred meters further, we follow a smaller trail to the left of the red, blue and yellow markings, and let the double trail on the right. We revolve around a small hill down to end counter at a farm. Behind the farm we turn left (to shorten we can to the right, a little later to join the path A). Half a kilometer further there is another opportunity to right a broad slopes of a mile take right to Eyroles (B). We go to the left (La Camade, Vilperdrix) and follow a little further a sharp right turn. We climb a kilometer long and gradually beat in a red dirt track in right, the yellow rings marek next. Look out for tender ankles because here it goes steeply down over very hilly course. The descent ends at the D567 with a bridge over the river. We follow the road to the right about 100 m to a second bridge. Across the bridge we turn right and follow the river about 500 meters to a paved road (B). We will turn left and follow this paved road until we join the main road and a little further downtown Eyroles reach.

Itinerary from Nyons: Follow the D94 towards NE and pass successively the villages Aubres, Les Pilles, Curnier, Sahune, Villeperdrix and Saint May to end in Rémuzat. Here we visit the Maison de Vautours for us to ascertain the latest information regarding the vulture colony. The lovers can on the basis of videos a bit about the expansion project of the Griffon vulture know. Rémuzat is one of the larger villages along the D94 and has a trio of cafe-restaurants. After this informative interlude 4 km we turn back and save the smaller in D562 to Saint-May. In the last hairpin bend before the village, we store an even smaller 'etroite route' to the left, and climb to the plateau of Saint Laurent. A little driving skills is a bonus.

Parking: On a picnic area (a table) to one hundred meters before the l'Abbeye Boton (a tiny abdijtje) let the cars behind. Provided that it is possible to economically parking here 5 or 6 cars to park. If the car park are full, then we follow the wegje further, take the junction after the abdijtje right and drive a mile away on a well maintained gravel road up to a larger car park, used by 'Sunday tourists "for a small detour around and back to the 'vultures rock'.

Especially:
Landscape, colony of griffon vultures, butterflies

The Walk:

Setting: We look at all angles of a high plateau, where rocky hills with scrub, grasslands with wild flowers by gorse bushes and cherry plantations (!) And abricozenplantages alternate.

Course: From the 'picknikplaats we follow the wegje further, let l'Abbeye the Boton behind and take the fork to the right (a few hours later we come from the left). During the 3 kilometers of climbing we unobtrusively (false flat) of 655 to 777 meters. The vegetation consists mainly of alternating shorter and rougher grasslands surrounded by rocks and sparse vegetation of low thorn and gorse bushes. Butterfly lovers will really need some time for these three kilometers to go. When we reach a wooden cross that for which we came: the crest of the Rocher de Saint Auban. The Oule, a tributary of the Eygues (river that also flows through Nyons), is 350 meters vertically below us. Perhaps not very long before we get to see Griffon vulture. We go left on the hill for a climb of almost 300 meters over 4 km to 1048 m, whose venom especially in the tail. The bulk of this 4 km, climb slowly to the right of the (comfortable) path and the void left (fortunately for those with vertigo) the plateau. If it is not too much wind will this part of the course a lot of butterflies produce. The chance of yaw increases as we are approaching the end of the ascent. Here we create opportunity for them a short distance in both top and bottom view to admire. Look back occasionally to becoming more beautiful landscape. At the end of the ridge bends to the left and we must overcome a few angry climbs before the descent started. We descend steeply down to a mountain saddle (975 m) with our left a lavender field. Here the path splits in two. We turn left, next to the lavender fields, valleys and quiet, spacious loops back to the Abbeye the Bodon. Who has not seen vultures, delves quite agree with binoculars on the NW ridge: there you can see the contours of a large flight cage to see where vultures might still be prepped to deported. On the roof of the cage they are often accompanied by the free copies.
24april-3mei 2009Wij have had a very pleasant stay in Nyons and are particularly pleased with the house, the way we were received and could leave. Also praise to the caretaker of the house, Pierre from Entrechaux. Fine and pleasant person. We really enjoyed the house and in particular on the distance from Nyons! The wine that was waiting for us was of excellent quality, thanks warvoor. The house is very practical and tastefully decorated and the garden is really beautiful! We would love to come back because we have something for years but now with this Nyons huis.We only saw during our stay there cameras everywhere around the house are attached. That will be i.v.m. security, but it is nice when you get there in advance is stressed. Now, the feeling that we are 24 hours a day in the holes are kept, no objections but it is better to know how others work and whether we do or do not stay on tape is recorded. JReaktie homeowner: Cameras have to do with the alarm system. Rest assured no BIG BROTHER.14-21 June 2009We want to emphasize again that our expectations in your villa in Nyons largely been surpassed and it is truly a dream house, fully equipped and beautifully situated in very nice omgeving.Dit are some restaurants that we Nyons environment and have tried: 1. d'un gout à l'autre (rue des deportes): very special dishes also in terms of presentation, nice, small space, so little space to tafel.2. l'arc en ciel (12 place des arcades): very friendly couple, limited choice, but very tasty and licht.3. la Charette Bleue (in Condorcet, rte the Gap): very wide choice of menus (from 20 to 43 euros) and very good and original; courts within the menus, reversible, for us certainly the best eetadres.Zowel l'arc en ciel as la Charette Bleue are members of the Bottin gourmand.4. resto de l'art: also good, but this restaurant know you may al.Koen had a topographical map of the region around Nyons purchased and this is our daily lot has been instrumental along with the signs that we were fine. Thus we have the alternative GR stepped starting above the rue des deportes and goes past a small chapel to the summit, then descend along a stream and slopes with lots of overgrown broom to Venterol on the square where you can enjoy your thirst lessons and then further pulling along olive groves, cherry trees and grapevines to the old town of Nyons (through the chapel). Another walk (much shorter) it was in Eyroles, St. Ferreol Trento pass. The road to get there to ride all prachtig.13 20septemberGeen to discover new restaurants on site, indeed la Charette Bleue and Restau de l'Art aangenaam.Wel delicious and we found a super nice restaurant discovered in the Beaujolais "l'auberge de Clochemerle "in Vaux-en-Beaujolais, a gourmet must to stay (hotel or simple) and a very inventive promising kok.Een tasty bakery La Boulangerie des Pres Chorier, rue Gambetta in the center: biodynamic bakery that bakes delicious bread with sourdough (such as Le Pain Quotidien), spelled bread, bread with olives, nuts, raisins, cereal, .... For us the best; ... you have a beautifully located and very nice house in Nyons, congratulations! (I would have longer stays ....) For us perfectly and we are thinking to rent again next year but a bit earlier in the summer season: -))

25juli 2009Wat a windfall, from your private gallery (terrace of the house) to see the Tour de France racing past.
