Atmospheric detached villa in the quiet El Alcazar residence of Moraira. Villa Herrera is located on a slope, giving you a beautiful panoramic view of the valley of Moraira, the rock in the sea of Calpe, the Sierra de Bernia and the Mediterranean Sea.

The large living room with complete kitchen/diner is on the top floor. From the living room you reach the upper terrace of 40m2. Here is a dining table with 6 chairs and some lounge chairs. Part of this terrace is covered. From this terrace you also have a beautiful view of the mountains and the lights on the other side of the valley in the evening. Plenty to see on a wonderful summer evening.

The fully equipped kitchen is fully equipped. Dishwasher, refrigerator, freezer, oven, microwave, citrus juicer, kettle, coffee maker (Nespresso), milk frother, mixer, oven dishes and sufficient crockery are available. In the sitting area you will find a collection of reading books and a 55-inch smart TV with a wide choice of channels (Canal Digital) and streaming options (Chromecast). Thanks to the newly installed fiber optic connection, there is fast and reliable internet throughout the house (mesh WiFi). There is also powerful air conditioning on the upper floor, as well as in the bedrooms downstairs. On the top floor there is a practical storage space and a separate toilet.

A spacious staircase leads down from the living room. On the ground floor there are three double bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.

Bedroom 1:
The master bedroom has a double bed with box spring mattress, two spacious built-in wardrobes and a private bathroom en suite. Equipped with a walk-in shower, toilet and open bathroom furniture with plenty of space to store your belongings.

This bedroom is adjacent to the covered terrace. Through the French doors and stairs you can easily reach the lovely swimming pool with large terrace.

Bedroom 2:
This bedroom has 2 single beds with box spring mattresses and a large built-in wardrobe. The beds are on wheels so it is easy to move the beds. All wheels have a brake.

Bedroom 3:
The smaller bedroom has 2 separate beds with box spring mattresses. The separate beds can be put together. There is also a spacious built-in wardrobe.

All bedrooms are equipped with their own air conditioning and ceiling fans.

Bedroom 1 & 2 are suitable for adding a camping bed. There is a camping bed available, but please bring your own bed linen.

Bathroom 2:
The large bathroom offers great comfort. In addition to a bath and toilet, there is a walk-in shower with rain shower and a separate traditional shower head. Here too there is an open bathroom furniture with plenty of storage space.

On the sleeping floor you will find the laundry room with washing machine, dryer, ironing board and iron. You can also put your dirty laundry here. Next to the laundry room there is a technical room. There is enough space here for the suitcases.

From the bedroom floor you enter through a door onto the covered terrace with the outdoor kitchen. Here are two lovely wicker lounge chairs with ottomans and a large dining table with chairs. In summer, the large table can also be placed in the garden, under the large parasol.

The summer kitchen is equipped with BBQ, dishwasher, refrigerator and TV. You can turn this outside, so that you can watch TV from the terrace. The outdoor kitchen can be closed with an electrically operated roller shutter.

From the covered terrace you reach the beautiful sun deck with the lovely swimming pool with outdoor shower via three steps. The surface of the terrace, including an area with artificial grass, is approximately 200 square meters. The swimming pool is 8x4x2 (at the deepest point) and has steps. Six sunbeds are at your disposal to sunbathe or enjoy a siesta. The pergola, covered with bamboo reeds, is equipped with a beautiful lounge set and is the "place to be" on a warm summer evening.


The larger supermarkets are accessible on foot. The distance is 1 to 1½ km.

The distance to the center of Moraira is 3 kilometers.

The Playa Ampolla is in the village. It is best to park your car in the large parking lot just before the village.

Do you want something different than an ordinary beach? There are several small Playas and Calas along the coastal road from Moraira to Calpe. A playa is a sandy beach and a Cala is more of a rocky beach. Artificial sandy beaches have often been created on the Calas.

Explanation of prices

Additional costs:
  • Cleaning costs per stay: €160
  • Bed, bath and kitchen linen (1 set of bed linen and 3 towels per person) are available for €25 per person.
  • Please bring your own beach towels
  • 140 kWh of electricity per week is included in the rent. In case of additional consumption, we will charge the electricity costs applicable at that time by deducting from the deposit.
  • For stays longer than 14 days, an interim cleaning is required, as well as a change of bed linen.

Other conditions:
  • Deposit from €700, depending on rental period and number of guests
  • Down payment upon reservation 30% of the rental sum with a minimum of €500. This must be paid within 14 days after reservation. The reservation is then final.
  • For reservations made 4 weeks before the start of the rental period or later, the full rental amount must be paid.
  • Payment of the remaining rent 4 weeks before the start of the rental period
  • Cancellation costs: Cancellation up to 28 days before the start of the rental period: 30% of the rental sum with a minimum of €500. Cancellation 28 days or later before the start of the rental period: the total amount.
  • We urgently advise you to take out travel insurance and cancellation insurance.
  • Arrival before 4 p.m.: If the house is available, you can move into the house earlier in consultation. We reserve the right to charge costs between €5 and €10 per hour.
  • Departure after 10am. If the house is available, you can stay longer in consultation. We reserve the right to charge costs between €5 and €10 per hour.

Location & area recommendations

Additional information

With the many bon vivants who have discovered the area around Moraira for holidays and long-term stays, an extensive range of food and beverage options has also emerged. What makes it extra nice is that it is all so affordable. Here are some tips, but there is of course much more.. 1. Cala Andrago – this bay has its own car park surrounded by some nice restaurants. We recommend la Cabana or, in addition, the Foodbar. For the morning coffee there is Algas, with the terrace right on the sea. 2. Benissa Costa – Chiringuito Olalà, la Paillotte, Mandala, Oceana Club 3. L' Arenal – this part of Javea is very touristic. Chabada is a good place to stay on the busy boulevard. In the evening we like to go to la Bambula, where you can imagine yourself in Ibiza. 4. Javea – our favorite is la Siesta, a luxury beach bar with fine cuisine. Also nice is la Bandida, near the old harbor to the fish market. 5. Benimarco – Cañis is a Spanish family restaurant with a creative, hip decor. Enjoy the best paella in the region with a wonderful view over Moraira and the sea. 6. Moraira center – Enzo, Vespa, Club Nautico, Samar, Eleven (coffee)
A day at the beach is wonderful. It is also nice to take all the time on a terrace, preferably with a view of the sea. But then it starts to itch a bit and you want to do something. Here is a list of activities that we have undertaken ourselves recently: 1. Walking - short, long, easy, heavy - everything is possible in and around Moraira. Ask the local tourist office in the village for routes or find them in the bookcase or on the internet. Beautiful routes can also be found on this website: https://www.reisbeesten.be/mooie-wandelen-aan-de-costa-blanca/ 2. Cycling - there are e-bikes for rent in the village (http: //www.morairaebikes.com) and real cycling enthusiasts take their own bikes for challenging trips inland 3. Golf - we play on Ifach, a short 9 hole course that is quite challenging and above all is beautifully situated. There are many other great courses in the immediate vicinity. 4. Water sports - rent a boat or go on a charter? Sailing, jet ski, scuba diving? The beautiful clear water invites you and it is a pity not to enjoy it in one way or another during your vacation. 5. Tennis, paddle - for this we usually go to the courts of Solpark (http://www.solparktennis-moraira.com), which is very close by. 6. Karting - behind the shopping center: +34965740037
There are plenty of supermarkets in and around Moraira. Most supermarkets open at 9:00 am and close at 9:30 pm. In the winter months, most shops are closed on Sundays and public holidays.

Shopping center - a few hundred meters from the house, at the roundabout between Teulada and Moraira, there are shops such as LIDL and Carrefour for daily shopping. There is also a gas station where the gas bottle for the barbecue can be exchanged for a full one. At the roundabout to the village of Moraira, a large supermarket has been added since 2023, the ALDI. On the road to Benitachell you will find the Mercadona, the most popular supermarket in Spain, after just a few hundred meters.

Lidl has a good vegetable department. Cheese, sausage, ice cream and fruit yoghurt are also of good quality and reasonably priced here. Many people go to Lidl for the bread. In addition to the usual baguette, they sell many different types of bread and sandwiches. Open daily from July to September from 8:00 am to. 10 p.m.

On the site where Lidl is located, Carrefour is located a little further away.
they have a wide range of products. Carrefour is originally a French supermarket and this is reflected in the range, which is large.
This is a quality supermarket. Carrefour is also open from July to September from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. The other months from Monday to Saturday from 9:00 am to 9:30 pm.

Towards Benitachell (the district on the right after 300m) there is a large Mercadona. The sun protection products are very affordable and good. There is a meat department with packaged meat, a large frozen department and they sell fresh fish. In short, everything for daily necessities is for sale here. The price-quality ratio is good. Closed on Sundays.

The ALDI on the roundabout to the village of Moraira (the district on the left after 200m) is new and competes with long opening hours and a good fresh department. At the time of writing, there is a 30% discount on fresh fruit and vegetables on Mondays.

Further towards Moraira you will pass the Plenoil gas station, with the best prices in Moraira (Plenoil Benissa is slightly cheaper). Immediately afterwards there is a medium-sized supermarket of Mas Y Mas. By car you must first drive all the way around the roundabout before reaching the entrance. The car is nice and cool in the parking garage. The store is open all year round from 9:00 AM to 9:30 PM and in the summer months the store is also open on Sundays from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

At the next roundabout you will find the - also medium-sized supermarket - Pepe La Sal. This also goes all the way around before you reach the entrance. Good supermarket, a bit more expensive, but with Dutch products. The meat, fresh from the knife, is of excellent quality. Opening hours in the summer months: Daily from 8:30 am to 9:30 pm. The other months from Monday to Saturday from 9:00 am to 9:30 pm.

Evening shop Opencor. When you arrive in the center of the village, this shop is located on the large roundabout with old olive trees 3/4 around and on the next roundabout you go 3/4 around again. Immediately on your left.
Small range, but suitable for the first items if you arrive late at night or if you have forgotten something after closing time.

A little further along the coastal road towards Calpe there is a new large Mas y Mas and a Pepe la Sal supermarket. These are indeed a bit further away but well worth it given the wide range.



The Costa Blanca is visited in the spring by all major cycling teams to train for the new season. You can make many nice trips here. Inland you have small villages, where you can always find a bar or restaurant. Nice for the coffee stop or lunch. As a rule very reasonably priced. A day trip to Guadelest or a shorter trip via the Montgo to Denia..... Or a trip via the Col de Rates to Castel de Castels. Or follow the coastal road to Altea and back through the interior. Or, if you go in September, to Jalon. The grapes are harvested and brought to the cooperative. Mountain biking is also done a lot. Drive slightly inland and the mountains are at your feet!
