In winter, the wood stove is nice. The doors can be opened as a fireplace

The spacious bedroom with double bed and a sofa bed. From the bedroom overlooks the valley of the Cure

Hotel du Marchal Chastellux in about 1900. The building still stands and is still quite the same as 100 years ago. Only the horse is no more.

The old town of Avallon (10 mins by car) is very worthwhile. Life has stood still.
