Through a gate that can be locked you enter the grounds of our house. The door to the kitchen is used as an entrance door.
In the kitchen is a lovely soapstone wood stove, a long table with chairs and easy armchairs to enjoy by the stove. Large windows on both sides provide pleasant light. There is a large stove on which you can cook, a nespresso coffee machine, and an oven, dishwasher, washing machine and large refrigerator. Plenty of crockery and pans to be found in the cupboards.
The spacious hallway leads to two bedrooms, 1 double bed in one of the spacious bedrooms and two single beds in the other bedroom. There is also a television room with a large corner sofa. The bathroom with walk-in shower and toilet with sink complete this house which is all on one level.
The garden is walled and offers shelter from the wind and plenty of privacy. The location of the house is within walking distance of the center, forests, and is a good base for the great lakes in the Morvan which are all situated around 20-30 minutes by car. Avalon, Clamecy, Corbigny, Château-Chinon are also half an hour's drive away and offer plenty of opportunities for large groceries.
In the center there are two bakeries, a caterer, three restaurants, v.v.v., bars with hidden gardens behind them, a pharmacy, jazz club, brocante shops and many small galleries that are really worth a visit.
In the summer there is a lot to do in the field of music and theatre and in September you can enjoy four days of art during the open Studios. Every Thursday there is a small market with local products in the covered market hall on the village square. On almost every day there is a market somewhere in a neighboring village. Flea markets, festivals, cultural events are mainly organized between May and October. All roads in the Morvan are small and winding and every drive provides breathtaking views of small villages and forests and hills, there are no highways here.
