Pierradore in perspective
Terrace around the pool with plenty of space for sunbathing or relaxing under a parasol. Before and after swimming in the heated pool you can rinse under the outdoor shower with hot water.

View from the front garden with almond trees and the jeu-de-boules track. Pierradore is 2 meters higher than the front yard which offers a beautiful view and privacy.
The Jeu de boules court with 8 person table in the front yard. Wonderful to relax in the sun or shade.
At the back of Pierradore we have placed a 3-person bench on the northwest with a wine barrel as a table. A wonderfully quiet and cool place for warm afternoons.

Back villa on the north. On hot days or when the sun is high in the sky, this terrace is outside the most cool place of Pierradore, you have uninterrupted views of the hinterland and the Montagne Noir.
Front garden with almond trees, fig trees, boules court and extra-long dining table. The driveway with plane trees offers several shaded parking spaces.
When the weather is clear above the Pyrenees, the mountains are very beautiful visible from the kitchen and garden of Pierradore.
Valras-Plage is the closest beach on the Mediterranean. It is a cozy place with restaurants, cafes, shops and many possibilities for water sports. Making trips or renting a boat yourself, it is all possible. At 40 minutes from Assignan.
Room seating area with audio and a 102 cm flat screen with a Canal Digital decoder on which the Dutch, Flemish and German TV channels can be seen. With the decoder from Orange you can enjoy the French TV channel offer. Air conditioning.
Dining area with large table with 6 chairs. Sliding doors to the terrace and a stone staircase to the tower room with library and sofa bed. In front, the entrance to the open kitchen and the door to the hall.

Very spacious, fully equipped kitchen with lots of cutlery, crockery and glassware. With ceramic hob, oven, filter coffee machine and Senseo machine. Equipped with a large number of pans, all kinds of equipment and a dishwasher, this is a kitchen where you will quickly feel at home. Air conditioning.
Master bedroom with a double box spring, a washbasin and plenty of closet space. French doors (with mosquito net) to the terrace and swimming pool.
Bedroom 2. Spacious bedroom with two 1 pers. box springs. The room has a spacious hanging / cupboard. French doors with shutters open onto the terrace with arcade. This room has space for a baby bed. Bedroom 1 and 2 are well sound-insulated from each other. Air conditioning
Bedroom 2. The two 1 pers. If desired, box springs can be combined into a double box spring by sliding them together.
Bathroom 1 with walk-in shower, bath, sink and toilet. The towel radiator also serves as a heater. There is a spacious built-in wardrobe. The bathroom is located between the living room and the bedrooms.
In the tower room you will find the library, which can also be used as a third bedroom. The room has double doors to the balcony with great panoramic views. Air conditioning.
Welness with sauna and bathroom 2. The room can also be used as a playroom, storage or garage.
Lovely 4 person Finnish sauna with electric heater covered with lava stones over which water can be poured to make the humidity to your choice. In combination with the swimming pool and the indoor or outdoor shower and the clean outdoor air, this is a super experience.
Bathroom 2 with spacious walk-in shower and washbasin. This bathroom is located right next to the sauna.
Pierradore at night. Swim or relax under the stars. The balmy summer evenings in this quiet area are unforgettable. Due to the little light pollution, the stars are very visible, and every now and then a nightingale makes itself heard.
Away from the busy daily life and relax privately by the pool.
Opposite the church, in front of the roundabout, there is a bread vending machine that, except on Wednesdays, is filled daily with delicious fresh bread and croissants.

Top Thai restaurant La Table is only 150 m away from Pierradore. Assignan also has a Bistro and a Brasserie serving home-brewed beer, all within walking distance of the villa.
Many pleasant markets can be found in the surroundings of Assignan. On Thursday and Sunday in Saint Chinian, 8 minutes by car, a nice fresh- and goods market for groceries and souvenirs.
As far as food and drinks are concerned, local products from the season in question are offered on the markets, whether organic or from the producer. Very fresh and of super quality.
When the planets are close to the earth, you can clearly see details with binoculars. For this photo taken from the terrace, some :-) zoom is used.
Viewpoint during walk around Assignan.
During many well-marked walks, you have many views. For a walk through the Pyrenees you must first brave a car ride of 1.5 hours.
When you walk through the streets of Saint-Guilhem-le-Desert or have a drink on the picturesque town square, you imagine yourself in a distant past. A fantastic experience.
Nimes and Narbonne, beautiful cities with many Roman accents are more than worth a day visit. Narbonne at 35 minutes by car and Nimes at 2 hours.
