Chalet Casa Nostra

Casa Nostra is a luxurious and comfortable holiday home that can accommodate six people (+ a baby/toddler). The chalet is located on the outskirts of the village of Kötschach in the far south of Austria. A few kilometers from the border with Italy.

The holiday home has a spacious and cozy living room with open kitchen, two bedrooms, a loft with a bunk bed and a spacious bathroom with a bath and shower. The interior is as follows:

Ground floor:

• Hall with washing machine and dryer
• Living room with television, wood stove, stereo system and game console
• Dining room
• Kitchen with a stove, coffee maker, kettle, oven, microwave, dishwasher and refrigerator
• Toilet

First floor:

• Bedroom with one double bed
• Bedroom with two single beds
• Bathroom with two sinks, bath and shower
• Toilet

Second floor:

• Loft with a bunk bed

From the living room you can go through two patio doors to the terrace and you have a beautiful unobstructed view of the mountains in the south. Behind the house is a spacious carport and a storage room where you can safely store skis or bicycles.

It is not allowed to smoke in the house. Pets are not allowed.

The area
Kötschach-Mauthen is the last village before the border crossing to Italy. About 2200 people live there. It is a cozy village with many restaurants, cafes and a number of different supermarkets including a SPAR, Lidl and a Billa. In addition, there are all kinds of other shops for daily necessities. In the village there is also a sports shop where they can help you with your ski equipment or for example the hiking gear.

In Kötschach-Mauthen there is a large public swimming pool for all ages: the Aquarena. The swimming pool has two large outdoor pools with a sunbathing area and a volleyball court, an indoor pool, a wellness center and a restaurant. There is also a natural swimming pool on the outskirts of Mauthen.

• It is about a ten-minute walk to the slopes of Kötschach-Mauthen
• The free ski bus to Nassfeld leaves about 275 metres away
• The center is also about 275 meters walk
• The swimming pool with wellness is about a ten-minute walk away
• The three supermarkets are a ten to fifteen minute walk away

Kötschach-Mauthen and its surroundings guarantee wonderful luxurious enjoyment in the far south of Austria. The village is located in a breathtaking setting between warm turquoise blue lakes and friendly deep green mountains.

In winter, the environment is a guarantee for fun in the snow. The piste in the village is excellent for beginners and families and the free ski bus takes you to the ski paradise in Nassfeld. In the summer, the possibilities are unprecedented. You can go hiking, mountaineering, cycling, mountain biking, tennis, fishing, rafting, horseback riding, golf or swimming.

Fancy something different? Kötschach is a perfect base for a day trip to Venice (3 hours drive), Udine (1.5 hours drive) or Trieste (2.5 hours drive) in Italy, as well as a trip to Ljubljana in Slovenia (2 hours drive) or Rijeka in Croatia (3 hours drive).
