Our guests can use all the facilities of the El Soto golf club, including a 9-hole Par 3 course, at a greatly reduced rate.
The region is not called 'Costa de Golf' for nothing. A short distance from our apartment is a large number of 18-hole golf courses, including that of La Cala (3x 18-holes).

About ten minutes drive from the village of Elviria is Marbella, the cosmopolitan port city of southern Spain. Walking along the piers in the port of Puerto Banus you believe your eyes to the most beautiful and most expensive yachts in the world. Enjoy a drink at one of the cafes in the Muelle de Galera and see the passing and driving jet set and their Porches, Ferraris, Lamborghinis and Rolls Royces.

Marbella is a delight if you like shopping. Exclusive shops and Boutiques in Puerto Banus to the almost buried and unique shops in the historic center of the old town. On the outskirts of Marbella is La Canada, a large indoor shopping center with restaurants. In Marbella you can find El Corte Ingles, a large department store Bijenkorf-ish.

The famous market (Saturdays from 09.00 to 14.00) of Nueva Andalucia, near Puerto Banus, is very popular and attracts many visitors. It is one of the largest markets that take place in Marbella and we recommend this market especially if you are in clothing, music and accessories at competitive prices. You will also find a variety of second-hand goods. The market is located near the Bullring of Nueva Andalucía.

Marbella offers along the beautiful promenade and the streets behind a variety of restaurants where you can eat. One that is not to be missed Lekune where you can enjoy pintxos, small snacks served around the tables and where you pay based on the number of sticks you used.
In the old town are also many nice restaurants. Reservations are recommended, especially on weekends during peak season.

The region offers a seemingly endless list of attractions that are great for children and adults. Below are a number of options, but there are of course many more.

Water parks
There are two water parks in the region: Aqualand in Torremolinos and Parque Aquatico in Mijas. Both guarantee a wonderful day out. Aqualand is generally better rated than Parque Aquatico because of its spectacular attractions. Be sure to leave on time because the roads to the park fill up quickly during the high season.

Outdoor and spectacle
In the village of Elviria, about an 8-minute drive from our apartment, you will find Aventura Amazonia, a climbing park in a forest. Absolutely recommended!

In San Pedro de Alcantara, just outside Marbella, is Costa Jump, a spectacular indoor trampoline park. Guarantees an adrenaline boost. Then cool off at/in the sea, along the beautiful boulevard of San Pedro de Alcantara.

About an hour's drive away, in El Chorro near Ardales, is the Caminito del Rey, also known as the most terrifying hiking trail in the world. It is an 8 kilometer long breathtaking route over narrow paths that lead you along rocks and through gorges. Minimum age is 8 years.

Beach and sea
At many locations along the coast you can rent jet skis and paddle boards, go parasailing or sail a speedboat.

Along the coast you will find a number of Costa Water Parks, floating amusement parks for a splashing day out, in the period June - September.

From Tarifa you can take a boat out to sea to spot whales and dolphins. Orcas are visible in the period July - September.

Zoos
Bioparc is located in Fuengirola, a not too large but beautifully landscaped animal park with tigers, gorillas, crocodiles, snakes and much more.

Selwo Marina dolphinarium is located in Arroyo de la Miel (Benalmadena). Shows with dolphins and sea lions are given, among other things.

A little further away, near Sotogrande, you will find a hidden gem, the Zoo de Castellar. A special animal park where you and your children can feed and pet the animals.

Closer, in Estepona, is the Selwo Aventura park, the largest zoo on the Costa del Sol.

The Sealife Aquarium in Benalmadena with a giant octopus, sharks and other sea creatures is also worth a visit.

In the center of Benalmadena you can visit (for free!) the Paloma Park with beautiful gardens, a lake with turtles and large fish, a playground and many freely roaming animals.

Just outside Benalmadena, near the Tibetan stupa with the golden Buddha, is the Butterfly Park.

A little further away, next to Aqualand in Torremolinos, you can visit the Crocodile Park.

Other
At various locations you can go mountain biking, horse riding, rent buggies, go-karting and many more activities. Check the net!

Who loves to shop is amply satisfied in this region. Whether it comes to the market with local products such as ceramics and hand-made jewelery and ornaments or small, in the old town buried shops with clothes and shoes or the chic boutiques of Cartier, Bvlgari, Gucci, Jimmy Choo and other sonorous names in and around Puerto Banus: you'll find it all here.

In the region there are two large shopping centers: La Canada in Marbella and Miramar in Fuengirola. At the same places are branches of El Corte Ingles, Spains Hive.

If you need a city trip or want to stroll through beautiful Andalusian villages: Malaga with its authentic center and beautiful villages such as Ronda and Casares are within easy reach.

A little further away but still easily accessible is Seville, a beautiful city that will quickly conquer your heart. For those for whom that is not enough, they can indulge in a trip to nearby Gibraltar (bring your passport!).

And then there is Tarifa, just over an hour's drive away. World famous for its creme de la creme kite beaches with super chill beach bars and a base for whale watching trips and day trips to Tangier in Morocco.

If you want to visit a different part of southern Spain, Nerja, about an hour's drive away, is highly recommended! The picturesque village of Frigliana is located near Nerja.

Renting out holiday homes in Spain is subject to strict rules. The national and local governments set high standards for the technical and organisational aspects of the property to be rented. Only properties that meet all requirements and have the required licenses and registrations may be rented out. We have both the mandatory 'Código Registral Único' and a rental license from the Junta de Andalucía.

The main applicant must be 30 years of age or older. In any case, we reserve the right of acceptance at all times.
