The beautiful view over the country with the lagoon, Atlantic Ocean and the seaside resort of Foz do Arelho in the distance.
The living room is located on the northwest and overlooks the terrace and swimming pool.
The seating area in the room has a leather sofa and modern designer lamps.
The large dining table is handmade by a cabinetmaker in Caldas da Rainha. There are 8 comfortable chairs.
The kitchen is practically furnished and equipped with good equipment.
The folding table can seat 4 people. When you are cooking, it is always nice to do it together and have a table.
There is a gas hob for cooking. To the left of the outside door are a fire extinguisher, fire blanket and first-aid kit.
The bedroom on the ground floor has a spacious double bed with two separate mattresses, a topper and a down duvet. In addition, two hanging / cupboards with a drawer unit in it.
The bedroom on the ground floor is user-friendly for people who are less mobile.

There is a fig tree at the entrance to the garden. In the month of August/September these are ripe and you can pick them; delicious with a piece of goat cheese and walnut.
Near the kitchen is a large garden table, which can be enlarged to a table for 8 people. There are 8 seats. An umbrella and a BBQ are available.

From the road that runs along at the top, Rua do Talefe, you have a nice view of the location of the houses. The third house is our house.
A beautiful sunset in September, which I personally think is the most beautiful month of the year.
The second house in the photo is Casa Vista Airosa. There are two parking spaces in front of the house.

The village of Sobral, seen from one of the many country roads that lead up. In the village shop you can buy fresh bread rolls, fruit and vegetables and all kinds of other products every day. The welcome pack comes from here. By buying here you support the social structure in the village.

The bay of Sao Martinho do Porto. On the south side of the bay, near Salir de Porto is a high climbing dune.
From our house you can take a nice walk to Obidos. In warm weather, take water with you on the road. The walk is approximately 5 kilometers. You can return by taxi or take an extra long walk.

A beautiful walk on the Montejunto. Wear good walking shoes, it is rocky.
Above Foz do Arelho you have a very nice view of the Atlantic Ocean coastline.

The chapel of Sant Ana at the top of the cliff can be reached by a nice walk from the villa.
São Martinho do Porto, on the other side of the bay. Rich in bars and restaurants and a pleasant beach with fine sand. Can be reached in +/- 35 minutes on foot from Salir via a boardwalk.

But, due to the vastness of the beach around the bay, there is also plenty of space to set up your own place.
The lagoon is ideal for (learning to) sail in the Escola da Velha. Kayaking and kite surfing are also possible.
Nazaré, another attraction in the immediate vicinity, you can also go for beach, promenade, bars, restaurants, excursions and much more.
The Berlenga Grande island with the fortress São João Baptista. You can go there by boat from Peniche. It is best to book in advance, only a limited number of visitors are allowed.
The rougher beaches and inlets on the Atlantic Ocean are abundant and can in many cases be reached on foot. For experienced hikers and always pay attention!
A day trip to Lisbon? Perfectly possible by car or Rapida Verde express bus from the bus station in Caldas da Rainha to the Campo Grande bus stop in the outskirts of Lisbon. From there a short connecting metro ride to the Rossio metro station and you will be in the center of Lisbon in 1.5 hours.

The 12th century Cistercian Abbey, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The church contains the tombs of Dom Pedro and Inês, the Portuguese king who experienced an impossible love story with the beautiful Inês in the 14th century.
