From the driveway you come to the front door. The driveway is large enough to park 2 cars. The 1st window is a bedroom window. On the other side of the front door is the bathroom window and next to it the kitchen window.
In the shed are the deck chairs and sun beds with cushions. We also have a men's and women's bicycle that you can use for free. of course you can also bring your own bike and put it in the shed.
Our holiday home is hidden among the trees, yet there is plenty of sun in the garden and on the terrace. Precisely because of the shelter of the trees you can quickly enjoy the 1st rays of the sun. The terrace faces south.
The many birds around the holiday home have inspired me to make this mosaic.
If you follow the route in the nature park you will see our holiday home on the right. The grass is a part of the large playing field.

Above the dining table the lighting is hanging on a scaffolding tube. Together with the dining table, this spot has a robust appearance. Here you can eat together or play a game. The games are in the brown cupboard in the kitchen.

Bedroom with a sturdy scaffolding wooden bed for 2 persons with movable bed base and 1 person duvets. You will be able to sleep comfortably thanks to the comfortable bed and the silence around the holiday home. There are fixed screens in front of the bedroom windows, so you can sleep with the window open at night.
Spacious single bedroom with box spring bed and spacious hanging / wardrobe. Attached to the cupboard are hooks where you can hang your bathrobe etc. On the bedroom floor is laminate. In this bedroom there is room for a camping bed. There is a fixed screen for the bedroom window.
Bedroom for 1 person with box spring bed and wardrobe. There is a fixed screen for the bedroom window. Here, too, the turn-and-turn window can be opened without flies, mosquitoes or other vermin disturbing your night's rest.
Spacious luxury bathroom with walk-in shower, rain shower with glass wall. A double sink with spacious drawer and a large mirror with lighting. On the wall is a radiator where you can hang the wet towels over. There is a hair dryer.
There is also a whirlpool in the bathroom. If during the bath you only switch on the illumination of the mirror, you can relax in this room.
The walk-in shower has a glass shower wall. The opening starts where the floor wiper is. The opening is 51 cm wide.
The shower room is 140 cm long, this is from the soap dish to the shower bar / head and 115 cm wide.
In the winter you always keep your feet warm when you use the toilet. The heating pipes that run under the floor provide this. Nice to take away right? There is always enough toilet paper available.
The Drenthe Highlands have miles of picturesque landscapes with heath hills, forests and Scottish Highlanders. You should not miss Museum Village Orvelte on this bike tour. It is one of the nicest villages in the Netherlands.

There is a large walking area around our holiday home. This beautiful tree is on the Reijntjesveld. There are sand drifts in this heathland where the sheep herd of Orvelte regularly walks around. If you walk into the forest from the house you are in the Reijntjesbos.
In the summer the sheep with the shepherd are regularly found on the Reijntjesveld.
The Ieberenplas is a swimming pond for small and large with a beautiful sandy beach. The swimming pond is located in the middle of the forest and is freely accessible. There are beautiful hiking trails in the forest.
How you experience the environment around the holiday home depends on the season. Every season has its charms. Last August the rain fell just in time, so the heath behind our holiday home was in full bloom.
The Iron Age farm. Outside the village of Orvelte is a reconstruction of a farm from the Iron Age. This farm was built in the 70s with materials that were probably used during the Iron Age. The farm is 1 km from our holiday home.

Next to the house is a log cabin where you can park your bikes and recharge your e-bike.
Even in bad weather you can sit outside, under the attached canopy. Where there is also an opportunity to have breakfast or lunch outside. or just to be in the great outdoors.
Through a key safe, you can use the key to enter and explore what this house has to offer. Next to the house is a spacious parking space for two cars.
At the back of the garden is a playground for the little ones to climb and swing and a canopy with sandbox for extra fun.
The garden is adapted for outdoor play. Just a little more patience and the newly planted trees and shrubs will fit completely into the atmosphere of the forest feeling again.
The garden is spacious, enough space for children to play or to laze under the canopy / sun loungers.
The open plan living room/kitchen has a nice lazy couch and 2 club chairs. In addition, a dining table with 6 chairs, extra dining chairs can be found in the entrance.
You can walk straight into the garden through the sliding doors.

The living room/dining room is nice and light through the windows all around.
At the dining table you have large windows on both sides of the house, so you almost have the feeling that you are outside.
Through the entrance you step into the completely new kitchen, with the necessary appliances and even a cooker.
In addition to Senseo, there is also a regular coffee set machine. Also a fridge-freezer and a combi microwave. For the cook inspe a delicious kitchen to make a meal.
The extra extension gave us the opportunity to realize a bedroom downstairs. So that people who have difficulty climbing stairs can also use this house.
Even for emergencies you can use a washing machine and dryer. Nice and easy and on the ground floor.
The bathroom on the ground floor has a spacious walk-in rain shower and double sink.
On the ground floor is a modern toilet.
From the living room you come upstairs where there are 2 bedrooms. One with three single beds.
This bedroom - upstairs - is located at the rear of the house.
On the other side of the landing is the master bedroom
In this bedroom there is also a cot and if necessary there is also a camping cot.
At the front is the other master bedroom with a lovely box-spring bed, also the possibility to let a little one sleep in a baby cot.
In the baby cot we have, if necessary, a changing mat.
Who knows what will be spotted in the forest.
