Out of the ordinary

The  cozy and luxurious holiday home BuitenGewoon is located on a bungalow park, near Westerbork in Drenthe. Year of construction 2018. There are no facilities at the park so you can still hear the silence here. The house can accommodate 4 people plus baby. The holiday home is fully insulated. Everything is on one level and central heating is everywhere. The living room is spacious and has a large glass sliding door with a view of forest and heath. The open kitchen has everything you need to prepare a nice meal, including a dishwasher. The bathroom is spacious with double sink, walk-in / rain shower and whirlpool. There are 3 bedrooms: one double room with a double bed with electrically adjustable bases and two single rooms with a box spring bed each, one pull-out bed rail so that your toddler / preschooler does not fall out of bed and a camping bed. A screen is attached to all windows to keep the insects out. The spacious terrace/garden is south facing and offers a lot of privacy. From the terrace you can walk straight into the forest and onto the heath with sand drifts. Next to the house is a shed where you can put your bicycle(s). The accommodation is 95 m². The plot is 400 m² in size.

The park is located in the middle of nature between the beautiful green village of Westerbork and the historic village of Orvelte. Out of respect for the animals that live in and around the park, there is no street lighting in the park. The holiday home is located on the edge of the park, adjacent to the Reijntjesbos and heathland with sand drifts. From the terrace and garden you walk directly into the forest and onto the heath. There is a good chance that you will encounter the shepherd with his flock or that you will see deer walking from the house at dusk. In front of the house is a large lawn where children can play. The park is a wonderful starting point for walking and cycling tours in Drenthe. Heathland, forest, sheep, dolmens and cozy villages. These are just a few of the many ingredients you can come across. Culture, entertainment, swimming fun, terraces and restaurants are all within easy reach:

• The beautiful green village of Westerbork is located 2 km from the park and is bustling with fun activities all year round. 
• The primeval village of Drenthe: Orvelte, 2 km away. This monument village is characterized by its unique Drenthe character. 
• Memorial Center Camp Westerbork.
• The cities of Assen, Hoogeveen and Emmen (Wildlands Zoo) are about 20 km away. You can get here within half an hour by car.  
• Iberenplas play pond in Grolloo forestry is a private swimming pond, with a lovely sandy beach. Safe for the little ones and plenty of water fun for the older children. 8 km away. 
• The wooden path of the naughty pig Theodore is 1km away. 
• The Buitencentrum Boomkroonpad.  18 km away. Various cycling and walking routes also start here.
