Aux Petits Bonheurs

Our detached holiday home in France is located in a wonderfully quiet location in the hilly Bourgogne Sud, surrounded by meadows. At the end of a small country road without traffic. Built in 1880 and originally the farmer's home, it is now a cozy and comfortable holiday home for up to 4 people. In the middle of the meadows with a panoramic view of the hilly landscape and the forests, you can't help but relax here. Enjoy the curious Charolais cows that trudge past every day and the deer that walk from the adjacent forest into the meadows.

The living room is attractive with various table lamps where you can relax in the comfortable armchairs, near the wood stove or on the couch. The wood-burning stove and existing plaids provide comfortable warmth during the colder period. The bookcase contains information about the region, booklets with cycling and walking routes, reading books (Dutch, French and English) and magazines. There is French TV, an option to borrow DVDs or you can use your own TV or film subscription and watch everything on the TV screen via our Chromecast. Our fiber optic internet has excellent coverage, even outside on the terrace.

Next to the living room is a bedroom with a double bed (180×200) and a wardrobe. The thick walls and exterior shutters at the windows ensure that this room remains nice and cool in the summer. The bedroom is on the ground floor, but has a small step.

An open staircase takes you to the second bedroom on the upper floor. Here are two single beds (90x200). Upon request, we can place them next to each other or apart from each other. There is also a baby crib on this floor. A baby bath is also available on request. The stairs have a child gate at the top and bottom.
All beds are made upon arrival.

The kitchen has everything you need to enjoy cooking: a 4-burner induction hob with boost function, sufficient pans, a microwave, an oven, oven dishes and cutting boards. Also present is a combination pod/filter coffee maker and a toaster. The French doors in the kitchen make it easy for you to set the table outside on the terrace. Of course, this is also possible indoors at the dining table in the kitchen. We can provide a high chair upon request.

The bathroom (on the ground floor) with shower, sink and toilet can be reached via the kitchen. Towels are available for all guests.

After a day of exploring the area, it is wonderful to experience the tranquility of the countryside. There are several seating areas outside around the gîte. On the terrace next to the kitchen there is a dining table with chairs and a BBQ. There are 2 sun loungers on the grass. At the end of the day, after a cooling dip in the private pool, you can relax on the lounge set on the terrace behind the gîte. Here you have a panoramic view of the hilly landscape, the meadows, the forest, the white Charolais cows that trudge past and the deer that come out of the forest to graze in the meadows. If you stay seated until dusk falls, you can enjoy a beautiful colorful sunset. The 2 sun loungers are recommended to lie on to admire the beautiful starry sky on a clear night. In spring and autumn you can make a campfire in the fire bowl.

Our gîte is also suitable for working remotely. The bedroom on the ground floor has a table with a comfortable corner sofa. With our fiber optic internet you have excellent coverage and you are always available online.
