Saint Emilion, : Saint Emilion is world famous for its wines. It is a pure red wine region and one of the best in the entire region. The wine region covers an area of 5500 ha. Viticulture has been practiced in this part of the Bordelais since the third century. Beautiful village.

In 1999, the jurisdiction of Saint-Émilion was placed on the World Heritage List, also because of the historical monuments in the city and surrounding villages.

You can take a nice walk around Saint Emilion and of course enjoy some wine on the square

As far as you can see there is peace, space and nature. A short walk through our fields and forests will take you to the river La Dronne, at the bottom of the valley.

The central part of the house has a spacious kitchen. A comfortable sitting area by the wood stove and a nice kitchen to prepare all the delicacies of the French market for a cozy aperitif or dinner.

Eating can be done inside, but is of course much more fun outside. In the sun or rather in the shade of the centuries-old lime tree? There is a BBQ and a fire pit for the evening.

The master bedroom has its own access to the bathroom.

The holiday home is the perfect combination of rustic & comfort

The bathroom has a hanging toilet, large sink, washing machine and a spacious shower with double shower head.

The left part of the house offers space for two bedrooms. One of them has two bunk beds, so there is room for everyone!

The third bedroom has two separate beds, which can also be combined into a twin bed.

Peace and space around the house. In summer, the swimming pool meets the need to cool off. Do you want more space to swim? This can be done in one of the nearby swimming lakes in Nantheuil, Saint Saud or Saint Eustephe. There is also a lake on our own estate.

In short: the perfect house to enjoy a relaxing holiday alone, with family or friends in the middle of La Douce France.

Holiday homes in Champs-Romain

Champs-Romain is a sweet small village in the Périgord Vert, the green heart of the Dordogne. The region is characterised by forests with lakes and rivers and a small village here and there. The Périgord Vert is slightly less touristy than the rest of the Dordogne. A holiday home in Champs-Romain is therefore a perfect choice for anyone who loves nature homes and French nature. Whether you go for a comfortable bungalow or a cosy chalet in a holiday park, you will definitely relax in Champs-Romain. In the surrounding area you can walk and cycle endlessly, and you will also find plenty of opportunities for mountain biking.

The surroundings of Champs-Romain

Champs-Romain is part of the Parc Naturel Régional Périgord-Limousin. The town is located at the crossroads of the Dordogne, the Limousin and the Charente, so you can literally go wherever you want. For some serious shopping you can go to the regional capital Nontron which is only fifteen minutes away. The nice village of Saint-Saud is a bit closer. It has a large swimming lake with a beach and playground equipment. You can also swim in the Grand Étang de Saint-Estèphe (Lake Saint-Estèphe), which is very popular with local families with children. Another nice daytrip is a visit to the town of Piégut-Pluviers, where a lively market is organised every Wednesday morning.

Champs-Romain has its own 9-hole golf course. The rustic course is managed by the Champs-Romain Golf Club Association and is suitable for both advanced and novice golfers.
In the Parc Naturel Régional Périgord-Limousin there are no fewer than 78 villages and towns, with a total of less than 50,000 residents.
Half an hour from Champs-Romain is one of the most beautiful villages in the region: Brantôme, a picturesque town on the river Dronne. Brantôme is called ‘the Venice of the Périgord’, but you will sadly not find any gondolas there.
