Le Piolan

This romantic place (located in the Luberon-Lure Unesco biosphere reserve) is especially for lovers of peace, space, silence and nature. From the south-facing terrace of approximately 250m2 you have a fabulous view of the surroundings. You can opt for the sun, but there is also always shade from a large broad cypress. A great place to read, to muse and to recover from the hectic pace of a busy life. Under the large terrace is a separate yoga terrace (6 persons) with an even wider and breathtaking view. A sublime experience for a yoga or meditation session. There is plenty of shade in the morning and evening.

The cottage has an older part with thick walls, in which a kitchen with dining area and fireplace. Via a stone staircase you reach the bedroom with a double bed (140cm) on the first floor. There is also an outside entrance via another stone staircase with a small terrace. From your bed you look out over the valley. Through the outside gallery downstairs you reach the bathroom / toilet and the living room. The living room has a sofa bed that can be folded out. The cottage can accommodate 4 people. The traditional borie next to the cottage is not accessible to tenants.

The kitchen has a 5-burner gas stove with oven, 2 small refrigerators with a freezer compartment. Furthermore equipped with everything needed to cook a delicious meal. There is 4G internet coverage with which you can watch TV, movies and Netflix on your own subscription from the Netherlands.

Our property is 2.5 hectares and is covered with a variety of trees with prairies with wild flowers closer to home. Part of the terrace is also reserved for wild flowers and grasses. In autumn there are many mushrooms. Our cottage is located at an altitude of 800 m and it is therefore always a bit cooler in the summer than in the lower parts. Provence is the sunniest province in France.

In connection with infection prevention for Covid-19, there is a bottle of 70% alcohol disinfectant in the kitchen, all sinks are equipped with soap, the cleaning lady cleans all handles and doorknobs extra well and airs the house between two tenants.
