Since 2024 we can call ourselves the proud owner of this cozy detached forest house SilvaRosa (74 m2) in the Sunclass Durbuy park. The park is located in the middle of the Belgian Ardennes, close to the river Ourthe and the picturesque, medieval town of Durbuy. Just a 3/3.5 hour drive from Utrecht, you will find yourself in a completely different world.
Our house is located on the edge of the park, at the bottom of a side road, in a very quiet place and has a lot of privacy. A big advantage is that the terrace is south facing and you can also enjoy the sun on the balcony until late in the year. It is suitable for those seeking peace and quiet, but there is also plenty to experience in and around the house for families with children. As there are 2 bedrooms and an extra bed on the landing, we think our house is best suited for 4 adults or a family up to 5 people. A maximum of 2 dogs are also welcome.
You can park at the door in a private parking space in front of the house, the front door can be reached without stairs!
At the rear is a spacious, enclosed balcony, from this balcony you look into the forest behind. Unique compared to many other houses in the park, is this "backyard" and in addition to the balcony the extra terrace at the house. You can reach this terrace via a staircase, equipped with lounge set. There is also a natural "staircase" to this terrace from the front, around the house. There is a lot of privacy around the house. In the silence of the morning or evening you can relax here. Switching off from the hectic life.....
The kitchen is equipped with all new appliances such as a dishwasher and a new combi oven. A new spacious fridge with freezer compartment and a (new) 4-burner gas stove are available. We have equipped the kitchen with a Senseo and a coffee maker. You will also find a toaster, hand blender and kettle.
The dining area has a cozy round dining table with 5 chairs. In the sitting area there is a large leather corner sofa and a separate armchair. From the spacious living room there is a unique view of the balcony and the accompanying 'backyard'. There is plenty of space and light from the back. Furthermore, the house is very well equipped and has central heating. There is a TV in the living room with soundbar and Chromecast (for streaming Netflix and other apps) and a DAB radio. You can stream your own music over the phone. Through the park you have free wifi and digital TV reception with NL, BE and international channels and a number of Dutch radio stations.
The whole house has laminate floors, the bathroom is tiled.
The bathroom has a toilet, sink, a walk-in shower and equipped with a towel radiator.
Via a staircase you can go to the first floor. The staircase is equipped with a banister on both sides and has a lockable stair gate at the top. On the upper floor is the landing with a 1 person bed and there are two bedrooms. One bedroom has a double bed and is equipped with a flat screen. There you will also find a large chest of drawers. On the landing is a spacious closet for storing clothes.
On the wooded hills, in the middle of the Ardennes, the bungalows are located at the Sunclass Park Durbuy. From the park there are many cycling and walking routes.
The park has free WIFI and there are various facilities that you can use, such as:
• Laundry with washing machine and dryer
• vending machines for necessary items that have been forgotten.
• 4 communal bbqs (grills to be picked up at the reception, after paying a deposit)
• Bicycle washing area
• dog toilet
• campfire pit
•Brasserie
• Heated indoor swimming pool surrounded by a sunbathing area.
• Playgrounds, 1 for the little ones and 1 for the older children.
• During the school holidays, the park organizes numerous activities.
