Welcome to Haus Alpentraum. You can enjoy an active or relaxing holiday with us in winter or summer.
Our house, with our tastefully furnished apartments, is located in Patergassen in the Gurktal – Carinthia. In this village there is a bakery, a Konditorei, a hairdresser, a bank and a large supermarket de Billa and a pizzeria within walking distance. Various restaurants and shops are 3/6 km away.
Due to the favorable location of our accommodation, you can enjoy a snow-sure holiday in the winter.
In winter there are several ski areas nearby with a total of 243 ski slopes: Bad Kleinkirchheim at 8 minutes, and at 15 minutes the Falkert, Hochrindl, Gerlitzen and the Turracherhöhe.
In addition to skiing and snowboarding, the area also offers other winter activities such as cross-country skiing, ice skating, tobogganing, snow walks, etc.
In the summer you can enjoy a fantastic climate in this region due to the warm air from Italy.
In the summer there are various activities such as walks that start at the doorstep of Haus Alpentraum, mountain biking, paragliding, golf on an 18-hole golf course just 5 minutes from our house, motorcycling, monkey zoo, climbing park, summer toboggan run Nocky Flitzer, 2 thermal baths, visit a birds of prey show or the various lakes in our area such as the Millstättersee, Ossiachersee and much more. You can also enjoy our sunny garden.
You can rent your winter sports equipment, a bicycle or E-bike at various sports shops in the area. We have a charging station for your E-Bike.

Beautiful area for walking

In the Gurktal Alps you will find optimal opportunities for hiking. You can opt for easy walks, but also for more challenging routes. Hiking in one of the oldest mountain regions of the Alps is an activity for young and old. Themed and family hikes also appeal to children, while experienced mountain hikers look for multi-day hikes. In any case, the walking maps of the area contain walking routes that suit you.

Superb setting for a golf course

For a golf holiday (8 minutes from us) you can travel to Patergasen with peace of mind. In the immediate vicinity is an 18-hole golf course where you can work on your handicap.
Moreover, due to the thinner air in the mountains, a golf ball has less resistance, making it easier to hit further.

The Japanese Macaques

On a tour of the monkey kingdom, you will learn everything you need to know about the Japanese macaques and get to know the animals personally. In a 4-hectare country enclosure, you will be surrounded by 160 Japanese Macaques and you can observe the animals as in the wild: how they raise their young animals themselves, groom their fur or even fight.
The highlight on Affenberg: with a bit of luck you can even watch swimming and diving monkeys.

Superb bird show

The main purpose of the birds of prey show is to bring people closer to the birds of prey and provide them with interesting information about these beautiful animals.

In a 40-minute demonstration, experience the birds of prey flying freely through the air against the wind of the famous Landskron Castle. After breathtaking flights, the birds return to the falconer right in front of you. Behavior and lifestyle of these partially endangered animals are explained in detail.

Relax in the thermal baths

Bad Kleinkirchheim is the birthplace of wellness culture.

The riding experience seems almost endless on the 15 km long course with a maximum gradient of 8 percent.
The gravel-fixed track winds from the Kaiserburg mountain station 06-607550375 m) along the ridge over forest and meadow areas about 910 meters down into the valley. Scooters, small jetties and steep curves provide variety. In 2 of the 4 sections there are direct connections to the 4 Nock Lake trails. Numerous alternative options offer both beginners and advanced mountain bikers safe use of the trail.
