A detached house built in 1925 with a large piece of land / forest around it. In buurtschapje. Woody, full of fish (including pike, trout and grayling), from the house, one can see wild animals like deer, foxes and cranes.
The house is also very spacious with a kitchen, a living room with fireplace and further three bedrooms, one downstairs. On the 1st floor is a small shower room with toilet. Downstairs is a toilet. In the shed is an inflatable canoe. There is a fire pit in the garden. No WIFI available but our teens find on closer inspection also equally tasty without it.
Time for other things. Nearby there are restaurants where they have Wifi.
200 meters from the house is a river where you can fish. In summer there are also spotting beavers. The nearest lake is a kilometer or three of the home. In the wider area can be fished for trout and grayling. Fly fishing is also possible in the area. Also vliegvisles. There are hiking.
A supermarket is 3 km away. Blueberries abound in summer. There are also cultural things to see. There are many so-called decorated in middle Sweden farms, 7 of which are on the world list. In Ytterhogdal tebezichtigen is also a decorated farm in summer (Hembygdgard). Their tradition dates back to the Middle Ages.
It's also fun to spot wildlife in the car, it is best to ride on unpaved, often well-country driving in the woods. You can see: moose, caribou, fox, deer, snowshoe hare, grouse, auerhahn, bear, wolf, etc. Best time is in the morning and evening twilight. Organized BEARS watching from a hut on the water in Angra, a half hour drive from our house. Organized canoeing is possible on the Hoan river.
In WINTER can be country skiing in the village, there are snowmobile trails and opportunities for ice fishing.
Within a half hour drive there is an opportunity to organize snowmobile tours, snowshoeing and dog sledding.
3 hour drive there are ski resorts: Vemdalsskalet, Björnrike. Which are snow-sure until late April. There are also held dog sledding and made winter hiking trails.
Christmas can cozy candlelit wooden churches to be visited in the area (eg Alvros). It becomes dark early, but by the many lights everywhere it therefore very attractive. The slopes are then lit up.
If we go by plane and at the airport in Stockholm to rent a car we have about 10 hours to get from home to home. In late February and early March are going rechtststreeks flights from Schiphol to Östersund. From there, two hours by car to the house.
The car is the fastest way to take the night boat from Kiel to Oslo. The trip takes about 1.5 days. Especially with the car but also the trip takes two days or a day and a night. There is also an overnight ferry from Kiel to Gothenburg. Then the drive to the house far longer than from Oslo.
There are also shorter and cheaper ferry from Hirtshals (Northern Denmark) to Oslo.
