Villa Casa Blanca + guest apartment

Casa Blanca is the ideal holiday villa for those who love peace and culture. To celebrate a holiday together with the two of you, the whole family (and grandparents) or a larger group of friends. At the rear of the villa is a spacious and neatly furnished guest house that can optionally be rented. That makes this location suitable for 2 to 8 adults.

Because the villa is located on its 'own' hill, the villa and the terrace offer a lot of privacy. That gives a very free feeling. Despite the open location and the unobstructed view, Casa Blanca is sheltered in terms of climate compared to other places in the area. During the day Casa Blanca is in the sun all day and you can enjoy it all day long. You can use the heated and chlorine-free swimming pool all year round (from early spring to late autumn). The terrace has a cozy BBQ corner with bar, comfortable sun loungers with large parasol and outdoor shower.

Casa Blanca is fully equipped, has an attractively furnished living room with a cast-iron wood stove, a well-equipped kitchen (including a bread machine, microwave, large oven and dishwasher), a spacious bathroom and 3 bedrooms (6 people). All rooms (including the guest house) have air conditioning and heating. Furthermore, there is (free of charge for you) stable and fast working WIFI and good TV reception of Dutch channels. There is a large collection of books (mainly Dutch literature) and CDs. There are good beds in all bedrooms. Bed linen and towels are provided and included. You can also use the washing machine and tumble dryer free of charge.

Finca Blanca (the guest house) at the rear of the villa can optionally be rented at the Casa, so that you have 2 bathrooms, ideal if you want to celebrate the holiday with 6 to 8 people and travel companions appreciate more privacy.

We use the villa ourselves regularly and like it when others can also enjoy this beautiful place! We have made various improvements to Casa Blanca and will continue to do so. We would like the villa to be in good order and to provide comfort. For example, there is a spacious shower (90x120 cm) with thermostatic taps, beautiful bathroom furniture, excellent (hot) water supply, luxurious lounge set and oak dining table with good chairs and seat cushions, large fridge / freezer (no frost), dishwasher, beds with good mattresses and energy-efficient and silent air conditioning/heating units (of high quality) in all rooms that provide cooling in the summer and pleasant warmth in the winter.

The swimming pool installation has been completely renewed. We work with hydrolysis; very slightly salty water (tasteless) and without chlorine which is very pleasant for the skin. The pool is heated.

Behind the house is an old carob tree with carob fruits (a type of cocoa beans). This is located next to the lockable gate of the entrance. On the private grounds behind the villa, within the gate, there is ample parking space for 2 to 3 cars.

Casa Blanca, which is easily accessible via a fully paved road, is located in the hamlet of El Romo, which is about a 10-minute drive from Colmenar. El Romo is located in the middle of the mountainous landscape of Andalusia and belongs to the municipality of Comares. Comares is the perched village that can be seen from the terrace far away on the other side. Casa Blanca is a completely detached house, just like the guesthouse. There are no other houses or buildings in front of or next to the villa. At the rear, at a good distance, is another detached house that cannot be seen from Casa Blanca. The rear neighbors also have no view of Casa Blanca. In short, plenty of privacy!

The Finca Blanca guesthouse is approximately 40m2 in size and has a living area with a compact kitchen, a spacious sleeping area and a neat bathroom with a spacious shower.

At about 500 meters walking distance you will find the neighborhood cafe / restaurant El Nino with a beautiful view over the other valley where you can have a nice and cheap drink and eat.

The English couple who live close to Casa Blanca take care of the management. They know the area very well and will give you a hospitable welcome and ensure that your stay is comfortable. Of course you can also contact us (the Dutch owners) directly by telephone.

From Malaga airport you can reach Casa Blanca in about 45 minutes.

Cultural highlights and cities are within limited travel time of Casa Blanca. You are within 1 to 1.5 hours in Granada (Alhambra), Cordoba (Mezquita), Seville (Placa Americain) and in 45 minutes in bustling Malaga. Various beaches and nature reserves (such as Torcal de Antequera, about 30 km away) are also within reach for swimming, walking and (those who like hills) cycling.
