La Palomera (the dovecote) is a 2-bedroom, single-storey house sleeping 4 people and is adapted for use by disabled guests.
The double doors lead out onto the private terrace with beautiful views over the river valley and the olive groves.
From the terrace one enters the main room which combines the sitting, dining and kitchen areas.
From the kitchen the corridor leads to the two bedrooms (one with double bed, one with two single beds) and the spacious bathroom.
At its highest point, the beamed ceiling is over 4 metres, which helps to keep this house cool in the middle of summer.
The double bedroom has a view over the olive groves.
A stable door also leads from the terrace to the hallway and bedrooms.
La Palomera is located on the estate Molino La Ratonera.
Our unique, charming private estate features two water mills, a 16th century mill tower and a 6 meter waterfall, and is located in a lush river valley.
Located in the northwest of the province of Granada, in the heart of Andalusia's rural interior.
Next to the river and the waterfall is the old water mill from 1894, where the bar, reception and our private residence are located.
Furthermore, there are six independent guest accommodations on our property, all restored with attention to detail, love and care.
Andalusian charm has been preserved throughout and each property has its own private outdoor space.
At the front of our site is the eco-friendly separate kidney-shaped swimming pool with pool deck and sun loungers.
In the lower watermill you will find a library and a fitness room.
A short distance from Granada, Málaga, Seville and Córdoba, the rural location provides a haven for wildlife and an excellent area for walking or bird watching.
Despite its tranquility and seclusion, it is the perfect holiday location as it is well connected with the most popular towns in Andalusia and the popular villages of Iznájar, Algarinejo and Zagra.
On the ground floor of the Molenhuis there are restored mill machines and we have a private bar for our guests.
Outside the Mill House is a large paved courtyard and to the side is the original mill arch with the restored mill wheel inside.
This courtyard is shaded by two mature vines and here is a terrace with built-in barbecue.

After the beautiful Andalusian landscape had enchanted us with all its beauty, we started our search for our own unique place in this fantastic part of Spain.
After a long search, a lot of viewing and comparing, we remained very impressed by this special place with that paradise feeling. Our place!

Explanation of the prices & cancellation policy
Mentioned prices are for an occupancy of a maximum of 4 people, we can add a baby cot at no extra cost.
The payment of the rent must be made in two installments, namely 50% upon booking as a deposit and the remaining amount no later than 2 weeks before arrival.
In the event of cancellation, the tenant owes the following amounts:
- In case of cancellation from the day of reservation up to 60 days before the day of arrival, cancellation is free of charge.
- in case of cancellation from the 60th day to the 14th day before arrival 50% of the rental amount.
- in case of cancellation within 14 days before arrival or on the day of arrival or later: the total rental amount.
A tenant who is unable to attend and who is not entitled to reimbursement of cancellation costs on the basis of a cancellation insurance policy taken out by him, can propose another suitable person to take his place under the following conditions:
- the other tenant meets all the conditions attached to the rental agreement.
- The request can be submitted up to 7 days before the day of arrival.
- the other tenant declares in a written statement that he has taken note of the rental agreement and the general terms and conditions and accepts them.
