A lovely spacious holiday home with large 10.5m XX-L-shaped private swimming pool (not 100% private / little privacy) made to really enjoy a holiday and moments together with friends and family.
Lie in the shallow (50cm) part with a can of beer or play with the children.
You can also swim laps in it because the pool is more than 10 meters long.
Casa Milvan has a large (50m2) covered terrace to eat out of the sun but also with places to lie in the sun.
Located just outside the white mountain village of Competa in the Axarquia region, is the perfect place to relax under the sun and enjoy the tranquility, wonderful climate and beauty of Andalusia.
The location of the house in the mountains between the olive trees, offers the tranquility of the mountain country and at the same time you have the convenience of the village with its shops, supermarkets, restaurants and terraces within walking distance (mountain on mountain) !!
Since the end of 2017, the house is accessible via a real concrete road (instead of the former bumpy path). There are a few hairpin bends in the last 400 meters from the main road but they get used to quickly.
Casa Milvan has 3 spacious bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
The house consists of two parts, which is ideal because everyone can choose to start or end the day at their own time in the morning and evening.
Around the house are several terraces and seating areas, so that you can find shade somewhere at any time of the day.
In the main house with high (4m in the point) sloping ceilings there is a spacious living room (with fireplace for the winter evenings), 2 spacious bedrooms with high ceilings, bathroom and a very spacious open kitchen that is fully equipped.
From the living room you can step onto the large (and fully fenced) terrace from where you have a view over the valley and Andalusian mountains.
The terrace is a wonderful place to have breakfast, sunbathe, dine, enjoy balmy evenings and admire the starry sky.
Next to the house is the L-shaped 10m long swimming pool with separate "paddling pool" of 60cm deep, a second terrace and the bbq area, from here you can reach the lower part via a staircase which has another small terrace. The edge of the pool on the valley side is 4 meters high, this is something to keep in mind for families with (small) children because there is a risk of falling. It is also not allowed to enter the edge of the pool on the valley side.
In the basement below the terrace (with private entrance) is another spacious bedroom, a small shower toilet bathroom. There are also fans.
Casa Milvan is the perfect base for discovering other white mountain villages, nature parks (hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, rafting etc), beaches of the Costa del Sol and the cities of Malaga and Granada.
Cómpeta. One of the largest white mountain villages in the Axarquia region in the mountains of Andalusia. The village is located at an altitude of 665 meters and has a wonderfully dry and warm climate. Despite the many Europeans who have a second home here, it has retained its Spanish culture and customs.
*5 minutes to Competa (15-20 minutes "hiking" for fit people without limitations)
*25 minutes to the coast (Torrox costa or Algrrobo costa)
*45 minutes to Malaga
*50 minutes to Malaga airport
*80 minutes to Granada

As we have had guests in the past who have problems with nature, we would like to point out that there may be wasps in the area that come to drink from the pool. We always check our site for nests, but this is no guarantee of a wasp-free holiday.
