Finca La Estrella de Competa

In the vicinity of La Estrella de Competa is something for everyone. The house is just steps away from the beautiful Moorish white village of Competa. Competa is situated at an altitude of about 638 m and is one of the most beautiful white villages of Andalusia. The village lies at the foot of the beautiful mountain areas of Tejeda and Almijara. The landscape is characterized by mountains with olive and fruit trees and vineyards, where the sweet Málagawijn is produced. The picturesque village is on the Ruta del Sol y Vino (wine route) with narrow, winding streets, whitewashed houses and a beautiful village church. The village dates back to the 15th century and despite earthquakes are the Moorish influence is still clearly visible. In the center you will find several cozy restaurants and bars with terraces.

Competa adjoins National Natural Park of 40,000 hectares, where you can make beautiful walks.

Not far away from Cómpeta you find several other authentic white Moorish villages, including the very beautiful Frigiliana. It is highly recommended to go there one day. The village is not named in vain several times to prettiest village in Spain.

At about 20 km from Cómpeta you find the little town Nerja. Nerja is located on beautiful bays. Nerja has a fairly large area with a number of squares with terraces and restaurants. Certainly worth to make a visit to the famous Balcon de Europa, which offers stunning views over the coast. You can make a beautiful walk along the coast where you can walk along the rocks and with beautiful beaches, including Burriana Beach.
A special attraction are the caves of Nerja. They were only discovered in 1959 and are among the finest in Europe.
A little further away are the beautiful historic cities of Malaga, Granada and Cordoba, which is easy to reach via the beautiful highways.

The nearest beach is at the cozy Torrox Costa (18 km) where you have a wide choice of restaurants. Even better is to walk a bit towards Nerja. From the beach you can also do this by car to follow. In the center of Torrox Costa you follow left the coastal road. There you will find truly authentic Spanish beach bars where you can eat delicious fresh fish.

Also in sport there are several possibilities: horse riding, cycling, diving, swimming, tennis, golf and of course skiing in the nearby Sierra Nevada. In the fall, you can for example choose a half day to go skiing and another good part of the day to enjoy the sun on the beach.
You will also find in the immediate vicinity many cozy markets.
