The Papôa apartment is bathed in classic Portuguese luxury. In addition to comfortable seats and a smart TV, the spacious living room has a stately fireplace and a gigantic, solid wooden bar furniture with an honesty bar.

The kitchen, with red ceramic tiles, is fully equipped with washing machine, dishwasher, Dolce Gusto and Nespresso coffee machines, large fridge and freezer, electric oven, gas stove, you name it.

A hallway leads you to the three attractively furnished, spacious bedrooms. The warm parquet, the macramé on the walls, as well as the handmade Portuguese bed bases with comfortable Emma mattresses: you immediately feel at home here. There are two authentic bathrooms, one en-suite and one for the other two bedrooms.

The location is excellent. You are 50 meters from the ocean, 300 meters from the nearest beach, 500 meters from the phenomenal Papôa peninsula, 300 meters from the nearest supermarket (Continente), 400 meters from Lidl and Aldi. Despite the quiet location, the city center is only 1 kilometer away. There you will find all the restaurants, shops, as well as the harbor and the fortress. Be welcome and enjoy everything the surfing capital has to offer!

We, Kristof and Frederik, lost our hearts in Portugal a few years ago.
We recently opened our brand new guesthouse Beach Break in a typical Portuguese vivenda painted white-pink in surf town Peniche. The vivenda has three apartments that have been renovated from top to bottom with every comfort and privacy. We look forward to welcoming you to our home!

Explanation of the prices & cancellation policy

A one-time cleaning fee of €25 will be charged for each stay. Internet is free. All linen is included. The beds are made upon arrival. There are also plenty of towels: 1 beach towel, 1 large bath towel, 1 small bath towel (per person, per week). Kitchen towels and bath mats are ready. To ensure that your stay goes smoothly, we ensure that you are welcomed upon arrival. We show the apartment, hand over the keys and are available by phone during your entire stay. We will also be present when you leave to receive the key again.

Welcome to this beautiful walled port city with a well-preserved fortress, where the authoritarian governor Salazar, among others, held his political prisoners. It now houses the Liberation Museum, a must for those interested in the recent history of the country. With the lace museum, the city has a second museum that is worth a visit. Peniche is of course best known as the European capital of wave surfing, with its many surf spots with phenomenal waves. The World Cup surfing is always held here in October. The city is located on a peninsula with a beautiful lighthouse on Cape Cabo Carvoeiro. You can of course also visit it, every Wednesday between 2 pm and 5 pm (summer) / between 1.30 pm and 4.30 pm (winter). The entire peninsula is currently in the running to become a UNESCO Intangible Heritage. As you drive down the Marginal Norte and Marginal Sul, you'll understand why: the ocean has eroded the cliffs here in a stunningly beautiful way. With Carreiro de Sao Marcos you can also visit one of the most beautiful bays in the world here, at least according to Lonely Planet. The colorful houses seem to be glued to the edge of the cliff. Boats depart daily from the harbor to the island group Islas das Berlengas. In the harbor is a beautiful shipyard. Above all, Peniche is of course a beautiful fishing town, with many small-scale fishing companies: from canning companies, over fish processing factories to freezing factories: you will find it all here! The Papoa peninsula is also worth a walk, which we describe separately on the map.
