Ferragudo is located at the mouth of the Arade River. one of the most authentic fishing villages in the Algarve. Time has stood still here. Experience the peace and beauty of this lovely village with its whitewashed houses, its narrow picturesque streets, and the activity on the quay with its fishing boats. Enjoy an espresso or a glass of wine on one of the terraces on the cozy village square. For beach lovers, this village is a true Eldorado with the extensive Praia Grande within walking distance.

Ferragudo is also interesting from a historical perspective: the ancient history of this village goes back to the Phoenicians and the Romans. The 15th century Fort of S. João at the mouth of the river still bears witness to this past and served for defense against hostile invaders from the sea. This recently restored fort is now privately owned.

In Vila Vida you live on a hill near the center of Ferragudo. Village life literally takes place at your feet. The lively village square with many cozy terraces is just around the corner, as are the various restaurants. Whether you want to have a cup of coffee or prefer delicious fish with a good glass of wine, you have it all at your fingertips. It is easy to cross to Portimão by water taxi.

Due to its higher location, the house itself has beautiful views of the village with the white houses, the river and the sea. Sun and shade can be alternated by the swimming pool or on the various terraces.

The living room and the 4 bedrooms have air conditioning, can be easily darkened and have wonderful beds for excellent sleeping pleasure. The kitchen is fully equipped and there is Dutch television and internet.

The house is located in a quiet street and there is ample parking space.
