Het Pelikaantje

´Het Pelikaantje´ is a holiday cottage for two (travel cot and high chair are available on request). The cottage has a private entry and includes a light open plan living area with kitchen, one bedroom and a bathroom.

The enclosed garden around ‘het Pelikaantje’ is provided with garden furniture. A wooden shed offers shelter to the bikes you might want to bring. You can also recharge the battery of your electric bicycle there. It is only a few minutes’ walk to the charging point for electric cars.

‘Het Pelikaantje’ is equipped with all amenities, on arrival your beds will be ready for you. There are tea and coffee making facilities.

It also includes:
a fridge with freezing compartment, microwave oven, oven, electric water kettle, coffee maker, 2-rings induction hob, tv, washing machine, garden furniture, bicycle storage in shed and free WIFI.

Please note: You are not allowed to smoke inside or bring pets to the cottage.

The village of Werkhoven with Odijk and Bunnik belongs to the municipality of Bunnik. This municipality is also known as the so-called backyard of the historical city of Utrecht. It not only combines two mayor tourist areas (‘Utrechtse Heuvelrug’ and ‘Krommerijnstreek’), but also is one of the 26 burroughs which belong to the largest archeological monuments of the Netherlands: the Roman Limes ((*CONTENT HIDDEN*)). History and nature are abundantly present in this area.

Furthermore, there are plenty of nice restaurants in the surroundings.

In Spring, you may feast your eyes on the countless numbers of blossoming fruit trees. The famous cherries from this area are available in the orchards everywhere throughout the season. Several villages in the region organize annual cherry festivals ((*CONTENT HIDDEN*))

Through the national bikersroute (the so-called ‘fietsknooppuntennetwerk’) Werkhoven is connected with numerous other places that are well worth visiting, such as Wijk bij Duurstede or Gorinchem. The city of Utrecht is easily reached by bike or public transport (bus). By train from railway stations Bunnik or Driebergen-Zeist, you will be in the center of Amsterdam is less than 45 minutes.
