Holten . Cottage Rental

COME ENJOY!!  Our cozy house is an ideal place to relax and enjoy nature. For a week, midweek or just a nice weekend away. Enjoy active walking or cycling in nature or relax with a glass of wine on our veranda. It's all possible! Around our house you have a beautiful view of all the greenery and you can watch the many birds and squirrels. In the immediate vicinity of Huisje Holten there are many cycling and walking routes through the vast forests and heaths of the Sallandse Heuvelrug. 

Our holiday home is not located in a park but on a spacious forest plot (800 m2) surrounded by trees and large rhododendrons with lots of privacy. The house is suitable for 1 to 4 adults and has been completely renovated and fully equipped. 
 
To give you an immediate holiday feeling, the beds are freshly made on arrival and a towel and kitchen linen package is ready for you. 

Both bedrooms have a double bed. The bathroom has a modern sink and a nice shower. The toilet is separate. The kitchen is fully equipped (such as refrigerator (no freezer), dishwasher, Senseo machine, kettle, combi microwave and induction hob) and in the cupboard there is plenty of nice crockery to set the table cozily. There is also free wifi.

In our holiday home, inside and outside come together a bit. The covered veranda that connects to the living room is a wonderful place to have a drink, chat and relax together, even when the weather is not so good. In winter, enjoy a cup of hot chocolate by the fireplace or wood-burning stove (heating season from October to March).

 Don't feel like going out? Then there is plenty to do in and around the house.
For example, there is a retro record player with old LPs for a pleasant evening "do you still recognize this one?" How fun!  In the cupboard in the living room there are plenty of board games and reading material and outside under the canopy hangs a dartboard. In short, no time to get bored. Parking is possible with several cars in the driveway and 1 under the carport. You can store bicycles in the lockable shed. We are also accessible by public transport. Holten has a railway station and a bus stop is a 5-minute walk away.

There is a lot to do in Holten and the surrounding area and especially a culinary delight with many types of restaurants, terraces and entertainment venues. Walking and cycling in the woods and over the heaths of the Sallandse Heuvelrug is an unforgettable experience. There are many walking (including the Pieterpad) and cycling routes in the vicinity. The nice Hanseatic cities of Deventer or Zutphen are also worth a visit.

There are no facilities for children in and around our house. Unfortunately, both the garden and the interior of our house are not baby/child friendly and that is why we focus on renting to adults. 

We like to receive our guests in a fresh home, to guarantee that, pets, smoking and gourmet are not allowed in the house.
