Welcome to our lovely house in the middle of the forest. A great place to relax or work! We have top wifi, also outside on the terrace. A lovely place also for a workation.

There is a large patio table, sofa and hammock, there is a trampoline in the garden, dart board, fire pit for marshmallows. An indoor and outdoor fireplace.
The park has a swimming pool, tennis court, washer/dryer, reception, playground with zip line and panna field.

There is sufficient bed linen and towels.

Giethmen is close to Ommen, a pleasant tourist town on the Vecht! With nice restaurants and shops and everything you need, even a Hema. On Tuesdays there is the weekly market to the JUMBO.

Every third Saturday of the month there is a Farmer's Market in Vilsteren, highly recommended. The area around Vilsteren is also beautiful to discover. What you should definitely do, get cheese at Heileuver, mountain biking on the Lemelerberg (5 min cycling) also wonderful for walking. The Pieterpad runs close to the house. This also comes at Outdoor Ommen with many activities such as Kayak rental, climbing etc.
Lemele also has a Pitch & Putt with foot golf and a bowling alley.

By the way, from the house you can walk straight onto the Vilsteren Estate. And a quick bike ride and you can jump from the White bridge into the Regge for a swim. The Regge is a winding quiet river that is beautiful for kayaking.

We are Mark and Marlein, proud owners of this lovely family house in the woods in Giethmen, near Ommen. We live in Voorburg ourselves. We have three teenagers, so all facilities for teenagers are available. Excellent wifi, TV, bbq, lovely beds (with very good mattresses), a long table to play games. We have furnished the house in such a way that you feel right at home. So not a standard furnished house. Fortunately, you can also read that in the reviews.

Location & area recommendations

Additional information

You arrive at Het Giethmenseveld park via a sandy road. That immediately gives you a holiday feeling. The park is a so-called nature park, with all the same houses that are all privately owned. You will therefore not find Landal or Belvilla facilities there, and therefore not the massiveness. You can depend on a tennis court at the park itself, at the reception you can rent bicycles or sign up for the bread service and buy a newspaper. There is no supermarket in the park itself. The park also has a nice forest playground for the kids and a basketball and panna field. You can also rent bicycles at the reception. At our house there is a trampoline in the large garden, there are (old) tennis rackets, there are old bicycles and mountain bikes and there is a large fire bowl where you can light a nice fire in the summer. There are many activities to do in the area. Mountain biking or hiking on the Archemer or Lemelerberg. The Boerenmarkt in Vilsteren, get cheese at Heileuver, get an ice cream in Dalfsen. Rent a boat in Ommen op de Vecht, canoe on the Regge. Paintball at the Sahara, quad biking in Hellendoorn. Too many to mention:)
