This is our reception room. The 'Schoppe' is much more than just a reception.
The 'Schoppe' is a communal area where you can sit comfortably. Feel free to grab a cup of coffee, a magazine, reading book or game from the cupboard.
The 'Schoppe' with a nice sitting area, brochures, magazines, books and games. If it is a bit chilly outside, feel free to turn on the pellet stove.

Terrace with fire pit. We regularly light the campfire, you can always do this yourself. We have enough wood in stock.
In the summer months we regularly organize a BBQ with meat from the farm shop around the corner
Dierenweide, we have a pig, goats, a shetland pony and chickens in our animal pasture.
Cooking on the campfire is something we really enjoy. How nice is it to let our guests enjoy this?

In the cooler days the wood stove is lit. You can buy wood at the reception

The bathroom is downstairs on the ground floor with mechanical ventilation, laundry basket, sink and grab bar in the shower
The shower is downstairs with grab bar, rack for your shampoo and shower foam, mechanical ventilation

Sleep well on the new box springs with toppers, this is the first bedroom upstairs with closet space
Squirrels and many birds regularly visit and eat from the peanut butter jar especially for them.
Every now and then a deer walks through the garden, also visits from rabbits
You can catch the very last sun here, with a view of meadow, picnicking is fine at this 8-person table
Terrific
In the peace and quiet lie in this hammock, there are 2 of them, the ropes are ready in 2 trees, the hammocks are in the storage room with the hooks attached
The outside of the park, you can see that the houses are far from each other. There is a beautiful walking path along the park and the meadows and through the forest.
Very regularly the squirrels come here to play, climb over the chairs, the table in the trees they run after each other. So much fun !

De Bos en Enk pauw regularly comes by to pick up the remains that fall from the bird houses.
The woodpeckers - in addition to all the great tits - love the fat balls
our 'house squirrel', who daily 'picks up' his portion of nuts in our garden.
Decline from the park into the forest with wonderful cycling and walking paths.
You can just admire these 'scenes' from your lazy chair in garden or room

Walking on the Boekeleerspad, 6 km long and very varied. Named after the 'boelekeerl', an ogre who used to frighten children in the past to keep them away from water.

the nest boxes are used every year by the blue tits
We always get a visit from the squirrels when we are in Bos en Enk. Usually 1, but sometimes there are two of them (a light brown and a thunder brown) and then they play tag or something similar in the Scots pine.
The area is also beautiful in winter with snow

Enjoy reading in the afternoon sun, spring 2021
Early in the morning you step outside through the French doors to enjoy the sun on our terrace.
And then shot from the living room an hour later: having coffee together and enjoying silence.

You can walk to our front door through our driveway and a tile path

Parked the car in your own driveway and you walk to our house along the shed / bicycle storage room
It is wonderful to walk on the large quiet heath. This is at Gortel. You can walk there in ten minutes from our house!

Fancy a game of jeu de boules? Plenty of space! And you will find the boules in our bicycle shed.
In early spring we go by car or bicycle to the sheepfold at Heerde. Huge heather and the sheep come to the cage in the afternoon with their lambs. Beautiful face!
On one of our walks from the cottage you walk a lot along this beautiful stream.
They do not like it, but we look in the nest young thrushes in the birdhouse to the oak 5 meters from our house. (See the picture with the squirrel)

A ten minute walk along the forest and you are on this heath at Gortel. It is October, the sheep have been stamped by the ram. So this spring again lots of lambs!
We just saw this rare hawfinch near our house. He enjoyed the rowan berries!
