The coziness of a small-scale campsite, the luxury and convenience of a holiday home. In the holiday home on our small-scale campsite you can still enjoy the chirping of the birds, the space and nature. A wonderful base to discover the Achterhoek. Explore the area during the day or spend a day at the campsite. After which you can enjoy the evening under the starry sky by the campfire. You can do that with us! The cottage is suitable for 2-4 people. The cottage has a spacious living room with a large open kitchen. This is fully equipped. There are two bedrooms and a bathroom with a walk-in shower, sink and toilet. You have your own terrace, so you can sit outside and fully enjoy the beautiful weather. If you want you can also rent bed linen, just send us a message and we'll make sure it's ready. A cot and high chair are free, just let us know so you don't miss out.

We are Willem and Hellen; We are nature lovers, we love the outdoors, gardening and being active. Our motto is to enjoy life and time together.
In the winter months we tackle jobs to make the campsite more and more beautiful. We do this with the four of us, our boys of 7 and 9 years old are happy to help us where they can (and especially want to). The rest of the year we do everything we can to offer you a beautiful, carefree holiday!

Explanation of the prices & cancellation policy

If the renter wishes to cancel the booking for any reason, the renter must always confirm this by e-mail to the landlord (even if this has already been communicated to the landlord by telephone, for example). The landlord will charge the following amounts, depending on the date of written cancellation by the tenant:

• in case of cancellation more than eight weeks before the commencement date, 15% of the agreed price;
• in case of cancellation within eight weeks to six before the commencement date, 50% of the agreed
price;
• in case of cancellation within six to two weeks before the commencement date, 75% of the agreed
price;
• in case of cancellation within two weeks before the commencement date, 90% of the agreed price;
• in case of cancellation on or after the day of the commencement date, 100% of the agreed price;

The administration fee is 5% of the agreed price with a minimum of € 50.00 and
a maximum of € 75.00

If the place is reserved and paid for by a third party for the same period through the mediation of the holiday-maker, only the administration costs will be charged.

Location & area recommendations

Additional information

Ruurlo is a nice village with cozy restaurants and shops. It is located in the heart of the Achterhoek, known for its bocage landscape. In and around Ruurlo you can enjoy beautiful walking and cycling along idyllic forest paths and villages.

There are several beautiful castles in the Achterhoek, including Kasteel Ruurlo and Kasteel Vorden.
Klimbos Achterhoek, Maze Ruurlo and Experience Park Cactus Oase are also recommended. As well as Hof van Eckberge in Eibergen and Erve Brooks in Gelselaar.

There are several nice museums in the area, such as the MORE museum in the castle in Ruurlo, the Lebbenbrugge museum, the Fire Brigade Museum or the Crystal Museum. Ideal if you want to experience a day of history or if the weather is not so nice.

No swimming pool nearby? Certainly! Hambroekplas recreation area is 8 km away, where you can enjoy a swim. Ruurlo has an outdoor swimming pool with the largest double competition slide in the Netherlands. There are also several indoor swimming pools nearby, such as the De Beemd swimming pool in Lochem. You can also go supping or stand-up paddle surfing through Zutphen at sup@zutphen or canoeing over the Berkel at Ultimate Adventures.

In the vicinity of Ruurlo you will find the ancient Hanseatic cities of Zutphen and Doesburg and numerous other beautiful villages and towns, such as Borculo, Lochem and Vorden.
