Estate 'De Pauwenhof'


Vierhouten, formerly a small Veluwe farming village, is now a village surrounded by forests and heathland and is the starting point for countless cycling and walking tours.
And 500m outside Vierhouten you will find the estate "de Pauwenhof", 14 hectares in size, partly forest and the rest meadow and grassland, where cows, horses and sheep graze. The family lives in a country house on these 11 hectares, called the "Zwaluwstaart" and guests are welcome in the "Ukje".
The "Ukje" is just more than an ukje.
It can accommodate up to 6 people, divided into 3 bedrooms, two double bedrooms on the first floor with a bathroom with toilet, shower and sink and 1 bedroom on the ground floor, also for 2 people. Also on the ground floor is There is a second bathroom with shower and sink, while the toilet is separate.
The sitting and dining room is of course also on the ground floor, as is the open kitchen, which is equipped with everything a person needs: a stove (gas) with oven (electric), a dishwasher, a refrigerator and a microwave. .
Coffee maker, Senseo, kettle and milk frother are also available.
The patio doors open onto a spacious terrace with a sunshade over the entire length and width, but above all with a beautiful view.
There is central heating for the winter months and a fireplace for the cool spring and autumn evenings. There is plenty of wood for this stove! We are always present to welcome you and show you around the house, the grounds and the surrounding area.

My husband and I (and we can both be called oldies) have left the Randstad a number of years and live permanently in the Zwaluwstaart.
It was my husband's grandfather who bought almost 2.5 hectares in 1919 and first he and then we were able to expand the site over the years to the current 11 hectares.
It all sounds so simple, but it isn't.
Such an estate requires maintenance and we, old and well, are busy with that day in, day out.

Cancellation Policy
If the tenant wishes to cancel the booking for whatever reason, the tenant must always confirm this to the landlord by e-mail (even if this has already been passed on to the landlord by telephone, for example). The landlord will charge the following amounts: depending on the date of written cancellation by the renter:
  • cancellation more than 3 months before the start of the rental period: free of charge
  • cancellation between the 90th and the 60th day before the start of the rental period: 25% of the rental price
  • cancellation between the 59th and 30th day before the start of the rental period: 50% of the rental price
  • cancellation less than 30 days before the start of the rental period: 100% of the rental price
If the tenant only announces on the commencement date or during the rental period that he will not use the rented property (anymore), he will still owe the full rental price.
