Villa Overstag is located in the water sports village of Terherne. The detached, sunny holiday home is located in the villa park De Herne, directly on the waterway of the Sneekermeer.
Villa Overstag has its own jetty where you can moor your own boat. From this quiet spot, with an unobstructed view of the old village center of Terherne, you can make beautiful trips throughout Friesland with both a sailboat and a sloop. Due to its central location, all lakes, towns and villages are easy to reach.
There is a beautiful terrace overlooking the water and from the jetty a swimming ladder for your own natural swimming pool. The park has an open waterway connection with the Sneekermeer and the village center of Terherne is only a 1-minute walk away.
Villa Overstag can be rented per week, weekend or midweek.
The villa: Comfortable, luxurious and fully furnished
The comfortable 6-person villa has an L-shaped, sunny living room on the ground floor with a 2-seater and 3-seater sofa, TV and radio. A large sliding door gives access to a covered terrace. The open kitchen is fully equipped with dishwasher, oven/microwave and Nespresso. On the first floor are three double rooms, each with two single box-spring beds, a bathroom with walk-in shower, double sink and second toilet. Free Wi-Fi is available.
Outside
The detached villa has a spacious garden all around with comfortable garden furniture and an 8-person picnic table under a canopy. There is space to park 2 cars in front of the house. The water depth directly behind the house is 2–3 meters, sufficient for keelboats, and there is great swimming. Through a lockable door you reach the jetty with several berths — there is always at least one place available for you.
Environment & entertainment
Within 1 minute walking distance you will find the skating rink (in winter ice rink) and the center of Terherne with supermarket, terraces and restaurants. Along the Sneekermeer there is a shell path through a bird area — wonderful walking. In the house there is an extensive collection of books and movies for a rainy day, and plenty of games and toys for the children. Pets are very welcome.
For the children
For guests with (small) children there is a high chair, a cot (bring your own bed linen), toys, books, games and puzzles available.
