The little house

On the edge of the peaceful Drenthe village of Schoonoord, you will find this nice characteristic farmhouse. From the house you are almost directly at forestry Sleenerzand where you can enjoy its 1600 hectares of forest and heathland. The cottage is located 1 km from the center. Schoonoord and the surrounding area are known as one of the most beautiful areas of our country and are surrounded by forests, heaths and idyllic fens. Everything you can expect from the magical nature of Drenthe. The cottage is located near the Sleenerzand forestry with its 1600 ha.

The cottage is an independent home on the ground floor and is located at the front of a real Drenthe farmhouse from 1925. It has its own entrance and private garden with lots of privacy! In this cozy holiday home you will experience the atmosphere of the past with all the comforts of the present. It is fully equipped for two people. Outside there is a fenced private garden with a terrace and seating, directly accessible from the living room. You can pick fresh organic herbs from your own garden. It is possible (if tuned and arranged in advance) to get vegan breakfast and vegan lunch packages. The living room consists of a dining and sitting area and a fully equipped open kitchen. You have access to a combi oven / microwave, coffee maker and fridge. The cottage has central heating and a cozy gas heater.

The bedroom has a double box spring. In addition, there is an authentic box bed. In the bathroom there is a bath, a shower, a sink and a toilet and some accessories.
The cottage is equipped with TV and internet. If desired, the WiFi is switched on or off. In the spacious garden is a seating area and a bicycle shed. Two bicycles are available that can be rented per day or per week. From the cottage you can enjoy beautiful walking and cycling trips through forests and heathland fields. In short, a house where you can fully enjoy your holiday! A pet is very welcome. Multiple pets are also possible in consultation.

Nature and environment

Schoonoord is one of the places in the municipality of Coevorden in magical Drenthe. From the cottage you can enjoy the beautiful forests and moors and on warm days you can swim in idyllic ponds. You can even swim with the dog (s) in one of the ponds in the area. For golf enthusiasts, there are several golf courses (18 holes) around 10 kilometers away and for mountain bikers, many occasions.
In addition to the beautiful nature of Drenthe, do you also want to get acquainted with the interesting Drenthe culture and historical sights? Then visit the Hunebedden, the Ellert and Brammert Museum, the museum village of Orvelte, the Veenpark in Emmer-Compascuum, the Remembrance Camp in Westerbork, the Planetron in Dwingeloo and many more.
