Leontine's Lodge in Sardinia

A 'Special Place' to escape the hectic pace of everyday life, to relax in nature and to give meaning to your six senses. That was the idea behind the purchase of 3 hectares of Sardinian land and the building of a separate architectural "Stazzu": cozy enough to be alone, wonderful for a honeymoon or couple retreat, but multifunctional because the layout  makes it suitable for up to 5 adults or 6 with children. For positive nature lovers who appreciate peace and quiet and our giant turtle...  

From 2013 - 2016, this creative complex was built from scratch 'in the middle of nowhere', with many vintage finds, eco materials and daring architectural combinations. Spacious living room with fireplace corner, work shelf in front of the window, large kitchen, 2 bathrooms, master bedroom with private access to terrace, separate toilet, rain/massage shower corner and raised bath. Family/friends room recommended up to 4 people with sink and large storage room, but bathroom for convenience via the hallway. Intended for outdoor living with two verandas, spacious terraces in all sun/wind directions, many seating areas, BBQ and 2 showers in nature around the lodge.

Please note that we only recommend renting this house with children from 6 years old because of the jacuzzi and various strange stairs and industrial ladders, both inside and outside.   In addition, an adventurous rocky terrain that invites 'climbing and scrambling' and contains - although far removed from the lodge - a dangerously deep natural spring. Swimming age therefore recommended and due to the steep abyss in front of the veranda and many terraces, this house is really not suitable for crawling toddlers and scurrying toddlers!

Absolutely necessary to be a 'tough driver' and to come with a good car, preferably a 4x4 but preferably an SUV on higher wheels with suitable tires. The access road leads through a kind of game reserve with a sandy path up to the top of a hill with gigantic views. Beautiful nature but chance of crossing animals from hopping hares to chatting turtles or wild boars. The villa is half an hour from (air) port, several famous beaches and interesting excursions, but not in the immediate vicinity of services. The cozy village is less than 10 km away and large cities a little further.
