A wonderful holiday home in Marche
Marche lies in central
Italy, with a 170 km-long coastline along the Adriatic Sea. The region isn’t as well-known as
Tuscany or
Umbria, but it’s more than a match for these regions. The landscape of the Marche is highly diverse. On the one side are the foothills of the Apennines in the
Emilia-Romagna region, and on the other side are long beaches with either sand or pebbles, punctuated with rugged rocks. The region in between is hilly, with farming villages, vineyards, olive groves and orchards. Walkers have found their very own paradise here, and if you’re a lover of
horse riding, you’ll thoroughly enjoy your time here. To sum up, a holiday home in Marche is the ideal starting point for a highly varied holiday in Italy. When you go through Micazu, you always book directly with the owner - convenient and great value.
Be amazed by the diversity of Marche
Apart from the Marche’s natural beauty, there’s lots of culture and history. You can wander around for hours in the regional capital of Ancona. The city is an important regional port, and we recommend you visit the San Ciriaco Cathedral. Other towns in the region are also well worth a visit. We recommend Senigallia, with a history going back to the second century BC. Other cities worth a day trip are Fano and Rimini, with plenty of
shopping opportunities and venues for art and culture. Don’t forget to pop into
Urbino,
Acqualagna and the stunning medieval village of Montefiore dell Aso.
