La casa di nonna Rosa is located more than 1500 km from Utrecht in the beautiful and unspoilt Le Marche in the foothills of the Appenines. The house is located in the countryside near Montefalcone Appennino, a historic village in the province of Fermo in the Marche region, and is part of the Sibillini Mountains and is only 40 km from the beaches of the Adriatic coast.
The spacious recently renovated house has been furnished with care and can accommodate up to 4 people on the first floor. It is embedded in the greenery of the Marche region and is surrounded by 9 hectares of land and private forest.
Ideal as a base for those looking for tranquility, contact with nature, history and culture.
There are many villages close by to visit, rich in history, art and many restaurants, offering delicious local cuisine or a real wine-food experience. In the period August and September, many artistic and cultural activities are organized by the villages of the Sibillini mountain community.

The house can accommodate up to 4 people:
- a room with a double bed and drawers and a wardrobe;
- a room with two single beds and a wardrobe and a bedside table;
- bathroom with bath, shower, sink, toilet and bidet;
Open concept dining room, kitchen and 2 sitting areas.
- kitchen with gas stove and oven, refrigerator, microwave, coffee machine, dishwasher and large work table.
- dining room: table for 6 people, scalable / extendable to 10 people. And open cupboard with glasses, cups, plates, cutlery and a tablecloth.
- Sitting area: large sitting room with sofa and comfortable armchairs, sofa, coffee table and large fireplace.
- Large covered terrace overlooking the lawn with century-old pine trees.

Beautiful walks and bike rides (mountain bike) can be made from Casa nonna Rosa. You can play tennis at Amandola and there is a riding school in front of this city. There are also many small medieval villages in the immediate vicinity, such as Monte San Martino, Penna San Giovanni (with small museum), Smerillo, Montefalcone Appennino, Santa Vittoria in Matenano, Force, Communanza, Montefortino.

culinary
Italy is pre-eminently the country of good food and drink and that is also possible in Le Marche. In the spacious and very well-equipped kitchen, every cook can indulge himself and then enjoy all honest flavors outside. In the nearby supermarkets you can buy most things that are also for sale in the Netherlands. When buying fresh bread, remember to include salt ('con sale'), because Italians in Le Marche eat a lot of bread without salt. There are also excellent wines for sale for little money.
If you're in Servigliano to do your shopping, go and eat an ice cream in the square at Gelateria Mecozzi, the best in the area.
If you don't feel like cooking, there are a number of good restaurants in the area. My favorite is Pane e Vino (in the square in Servigliano). You can always email/call for more tips.

Nature
Le Marche is very popular with hikers, because there is still so much untouched nature. Many walks are possible in the area. You can visit the caves at Smerillo, walk with donkeys and there are walks around Amandola and Ancona. (en.wikiloc.com, choose Italy/Marche).
In the parco Nazionale dei Monti Sibilini, nature also remains untouched and you can see everything. From special birds and butterflies to other wildlife. In addition, you will not get bored of the flowers, plants and trees.
Every season ensures that nature changes, the snow creates the beautiful winter landscapes. Spring is adorned with numerous wild flowers, such as orchids, lots of sunflowers in summer and autumn enchants the landscape with its most beautiful color palette.

Authentic Countryside
In the immediate vicinity are many small picturesque medieval villages, which all have their own festival in the summer, which the whole area comes to see. In addition, almost every village has its own viewpoint, small museum and café. Order a 'caffè' (espresso) and see how friendly the local people are. Also try to say thank you (grazie). That is appreciated.
Slightly larger are Ascoli Piceno and Fermo with their renovated old centers. In both cities, the piazza del Popolo is worth a visit and there are many nice restaurants and terraces.
