Kastély Ház – Authentic holiday home opposite a castle in the green heart of Hungary
Welcome to Kastély Ház, an attractive and completely renovated holiday home in the village of Sály in northeastern Hungary. This comfortable 4-person house is located at the foot of the beautiful Bükk Mountains, on a spacious, private walled plot of 1000 m² with four large, old walnut trees that provide wonderful shade in the summer.
The house is located directly opposite the Eötvös-Gorove Castle – a special place that gives the holiday home its name. Kastély Ház is the perfect base for those who want to combine peace, nature, culture and comfort.
Comfort & layout:
Kastély Ház has been lovingly renovated and fully equipped. All windows have been renewed and have triple glazing, shutters and mosquito nets, which ensures a pleasant indoor climate, good insulation and insect-free nights.
Inside you will find:
A fully equipped kitchen with induction hob, oven, fridge with freezer, dishwasher and coffee maker.
A bright and cozy living room with comfortable sitting area, wifi and television.
Two bedrooms with comfortable beds and storage space (one with a double bed, the other with two single beds).
A modern, spacious bathroom with walk-in shower, toilet and sink.
The house is on one level, non-smoking and suitable for families, couples or those seeking tranquility.
Outdoors:
The spacious garden offers plenty of privacy and relaxation. There is an (above-ground) swimming pool in the summer, a swing for children and plenty of space for lounging or reading in the shade.
At the house is a traditional Hungarian tripod (bogrács) – ideal for cooking outside over a fire. You can eat under the walnut trees on hot days and enjoy a beautiful starry sky on clear evenings.

Sály is located in a rural and quiet area, with plenty of opportunities for hiking, cycling, wildlife watching and nature discovery.
A short distance away are:
The Bükk National Park – ideal for hikes, waterfalls, forests and caves
Eger – an atmospheric town with baroque architecture, wineries and thermal baths
Local markets, wine routes and authentic villages
In the region there are festivals in the summer, and in the winter atmospheric Christmas markets (e.g. in Eger and Budapest). Every first Sunday of the month there is an antique market in Miskolc.
