Dogs are allowed (maximum 2, more upon consultation).
(In principle we only rent to people with dogs, to prevent people with allergies from having problems). But of course people without dogs are also very welcome.
The plot is approximately 750 square meters and is completely fenced (it borders our own plot). On the plot there is a private swimming pool of 20m2 (not suitable for small children because it is built above the ground, so there is no view into the pool). Swimming laps is difficult here, but relaxing with a beer or glass of wine is perfect here, at the same time turning on the BBQ or making a one-pan dish on the open fire and the party can begin.

The house dates from around 1850 and is largely in its original state.

We are Jan and Monique Bijker and on our 2 plots of a total of 6500 m² in the municipality of Jászszentandrás (Hungary) there are 3 houses, the plot is completely fenced. We rent a house that is on a separate fenced plot. The other houses are on our plot and are basically for private use.
The plots are located on the edge of the village, 3 km from the center and the thermal bath.

Additional information

For young and old: In the village center, 3 km from the house, there is a large thermal bath (a warm water bath with medicinal properties for rheumatism patients). At the swimming pool complex, with various pools, you can stay all day and 7 days a week. At the pool are various attributes including large slides for the children. You will also find many food and beverage outlets there. For the teenagers and the elderly: Street party with music. Once a month (from the month of May) a street party is held. The street is then closed off and there is dancing on the street to live music or with a DJ. There are food and beverage outlets along the street where you can sit comfortably. The last week of July there is a motorcycle parade in the village. Motorcyclists from all over Hungary come to Jaszszentandras to camp and show their motorcycle. During this week there are daily activities with live music or a DJ. This annual festivity ends with live performances and a motorcycle parade through the village
Less than 45 minutes from the property are the Bükk and Matra mountains. The Bükk National Park is beautiful in all seasons. In the summer you can enjoy nature and go out on foot or by bike. Mountain bikes can be rented in Silvasvarad. You can also go up with a narrow-gauge train. The famous Szalaika waterfalls are within walking distance, as is the cave in the Istállós-kö, where prehistoric finds have been made. The Bükk National Park is an offshoot of the Carpathians with an altitude of almost 1000 meters. The (beech) forests seem endless, but there are also open spaces. The mountain range consists of limestone in which caves have been formed in more than 300 places. At Lillafüred near Miskolc, there are several caves open to the public and a cave is used as a spa bath. The national park has a rich flora and fauna. There are wild cats, stone martens and ermines. In the Bükk there are Black Storks, Saker Falcon, Imperial, Stone, Screaming, Pygmy and Short-toed Eagle and Hazel Grouse. Nine species of woodpeckers live here and birds such as Hawfinch, Collared Flycatcher and Sparrow Warbler are numerous. There are also many butterflies, some of which, such as Tsar's Mantle, Lathyrus Glider and Eastern Esparcette Blue, are rare. Others, such as the Blue-eyed Butterfly, the White-banded Sand-eye and the Keizermantel are found in every good location. The flora is exuberant almost everywhere. The so-called doline calcareous grasslands are rich in protected, rare species and are covered with beautifully developed juniper thickets. More information about the national park (in Hungarian) can be found at: www.bnpi.hu In addition to hiking and cycling, you can climb, and in winter, go skiing and cross-country skiing in the Bükk. In the ski area on top of the mountain there are 8 slopes and drag lifts. There is also ski rental available. Information about the Bankút ski area can be found (in Hungarian) at: http://www.bankut.hu/nyito.php In Szilvasvárad there are several museums that are worth a visit, such as the forestry museum (Erdészeti múzeum), the Lovas Múzeum with the history of the famous Lipizaner horses and a traditionally decorated farm (Orbán-haz). There is also a stud farm. For more information about Silvasvarád look at: http://szilvasvarád.hu
Eger is 30 minutes away from the accommodation. It is located in the north of Hungary, is the capital of the county of Heves and is a "city with county law". Eger had 58,331 inhabitants on February 1, 2001. The town is best known for the castle, the thermal baths, the historic buildings, including the (according to the authorities) northernmost Ottoman minaret, and the best red wine in Hungary, according to experts. namely the Egri Bikavér ("bull's blood" wine). The historic city of Eger has many places of interest. The city mainly has baroque and classical architecture. The Archdiocese of Eger has the second largest cathedral in Hungary. The city center has partly car-free streets with beautiful buildings and cozy terraces. The main sights in Eger are: - the castle (Vár) with casemates - the cathedral - lyceum with library and observatory (camera obscura) - archbishop's palace and museum - Minorite church - the Minaret, the last remnant of the Turks. there are also plenty of options in Eger. There is a beautiful open-air bath, along with a thermal bath. There is also a Turkish bath. HistoryEger Castle and the statue of István DobóCathedral (or basilica) of EgerMinaret of EgerSzépasszonyvölgy (Valley of the Beautiful Women)Eger has been inhabited since the Stone Age. During the Middle Ages, the area was inhabited by Germans, Avars and Slavic tribes. The Hungarians have inhabited the area since the tenth century. Stephen I (997-1038), the first Christian king of Hungary founded a bishopric in Eger. The first cathedral of Eger was built on the castle hill, where later the castle of Eger was built. The city was built around the cathedral, which no longer exists, but Eger has been an important religious center since its inception.
