There are 4 bedrooms with 3 bathrooms. One bedroom with ensuite bathroom is also wheelchair-friendly due to wider access doors, toilet with grab rails, walk-in shower with folding doors and space for the wheelchair under the sink. The beds are made upon arrival!
Each bathroom has a rain shower, toilet and sink. There is an IR sauna in the apartment.

The Kahler Asten, the highest point at about 900 meters, is only 2 km from our apartment and can be reached via a hiking trail.
Several hiking trails start at the Altastenberg tourist office, 200 meters from the apartment. From there you can walk to the Kahler Asten (about 2 km)

On the first floor, next to the kitchenette, you will find a cozy living room where guests can relax on the couch after an active day.
All seven bedrooms have new beds with wooden headboards. All bedrooms are also equipped with fitted wardrobes and new beds.
Enjoy a good glass of wine at this lovely sitting area by the wood-burning stove in the dining room.
The dining room has a spacious, attractive dining area. There is also a seat for two by the wood stove overlooking the forest valley. Through the dining room you reach the terrace with veranda through French doors.

The cozy living room on the first floor has three large sofas. From the living room you have a beautiful view over the valley (Renautal). Are you up early? Then spot the deer that often walk through our garden looking for food or a resting place.
In the holiday home, all bedrooms are spacious and the beds are wonderful!
The spacious bedrooms on the second floor are equipped with comfortable beds, a sink and cupboards.
The four bedrooms on the top floor are all equipped with washbasins.
From the front door you can walk the most beautiful walking routes.

House Sauerland Panorama has a beautiful view of the rolling mountains of the Sauerland from almost all windows and from the balcony and garden.
The living room. Lounging on one of the two comfortable sofas, in an armchair or in the unique rocking chair. In the cupboards you will find a small collection of Dutch (children's) books, CDs and DVDs. There's also a Wii, binoculars and a guitar, so there's something for everyone!
Windows on two sides give plenty of views of the mountains from this large bedroom.
With 8 people you can dine outside on the terrace at the house at this table.
The large garden - with many flowering shrubs, strawberries and berry bushes - is adjacent to a fast-flowing stream, safely separated for children with netting. The typical Sauerland bench at the Elpe offers a nice view of the water and the garden.

The house has a total of three bathrooms, including this one on the second floor that is carried out in a quite luxury state: in a separate part a pretty washbasin with toilet; the second part includes a rain shower and bathtub.

Conviviality around the wood stove.
The luxury fitted kitchen is in U-shape, with a ceramic hob and an oven on the right; in the middle a counter top with a view and on the left the sink, dishwasher, Nespresso machine, coffee maker, kettle and fridge-freezer. Fully equipped!

At the table you have a beautiful view over the garden, the adjacent stream and of course the mountains. In the evening you can dine and talk for hours in this cosy place (like in this picture on Christmas Eve). But watching the flames in the stove is also tempting!

As soon as the first sun shows itself, you can enjoy the grass terrace. Enough garden furniture available for at least 10 people.

Next to the apartment is a covered terrace with a southern feel, equipped with lounge set and picnic bench. The ideal barbecue area.
Make it sporty, with a game of table tennis in the garage. Or borrow one of our mountain bikes, try the football game or one of the other games. In winter, you can also use our sleds and second-hand ski equipment.
In one of the bedrooms there is a cot.
A comfortable PVC floor has been laid in the bathroom, hall and kitchen. A football game can be found in the hall.
The river Elpe flows calmly along the garden.
The house is in a rural location yet close to the village center of Elpe.

From the house it is only a few minutes' walk on a beautiful country road to the village center of Elpe, with a bakery where you can also buy delicacies. There is also a small restaurant with a terrace.

Summer tip: the Waldfreibad Gudenhagen near Brilon, one of the largest forest baths in North Rhine Westphalia. Closer by and also very beautiful is the outdoor swimming pool in Siedlinghausen.
Hiking tip for all seasons: the Hochheide Niedersfeld. Along the way along the Goldene Pfad route, with special elements and beautiful views. And a cozy Stube with terrace.
Tourist tip: the Bruchhauser Steine. With good weather you can even see as far as the Teutoburger Wald from the four rock formations in this nature reserve.
Tourist tip: compare the different (Sommer) toboggan lifts in the region. Sternrodt in Olsberg, Erlebnisberg Kappe in Winterberg and of course not forgetting the great toboggan run Trapper Slider in the Freizeitspark Fort Fun in Ramsbeck.

The view from the house in winter: the ski slope of Schwalefeld. Unfortunately, there is no longer skiing here because there are many more slopes a few kilometers further in Willingen. These are also artificially snowed and lit so that you can ski almost all winter.

A very spacious attic room with 2 single beds of 90x200, an extra bed of 90x200, a brightly colored cot and a camping cot. There are also some children's toys in this attic room.

The outdoor swimming pool is located in Usseln at 5 km; The Diemelsee with many water sports is 10 km. We often go there in the summer. In winter it is wonderful to swim indoors and enjoy wellness in the Lagunenbad in Willingen
The summer toboggan run in Willingen is always open.....when there is no snow...and is great fun!!
This is the house viewed from the footpath that runs just above the house and from which you walk directly into the forest. In winter it's like a Christmas card. Here the house during a snowstorm.
In winter: lots of skiing fun thanks to snow cannons. There is a total of more than 9 km of artificial snow-covered slopes in Willingen. As a result, it is often possible to ski all winter long.
There are beautiful trails for cross-country skiing in the area

The Diemelsee is a beautiful reservoir located about 10 km away. It is a nice walk and in the summer all water sports activities can be practiced, including swimming!
