Haus am Uplandsteig

In the middle of the Sauerland on the famous trail the Uplandsteig, lies this beautiful, cozy and new holiday chalet. Between the meadows and on the edge of the forest, from the chalet you have a magnificent view over the hills of the Sauerland.

From the house you can make endless walks or mountain biking in the beautiful untouched nature. The deer can be seen from the house.
Neerdar has 120 inhabitants and a restaurant where you can dine well.
There is a daily baker in the town. On the hill behind our house there is a tredbecken with a large covered barbeque plaats.Water stream and toillet are present there.
Within a 300 meter walk there is a playground, with for the little ones climbing equipment and a sandbox. For youth there is a table tennis table, football field and cable car.

In the town of Usseln, 5 minutes away from the holiday home, you can do your daily shopping. There is also an outdoor swimming pool in this town. In winter you can ski here on various slopes. These slopes are often a bit quieter in busy periods than the slopes in Willingen. The local restaurants are good and not too expensive.

The famous winter resort of Willingen is about 10 minutes drive from the house. Willingen has an extensive network of ski slopes, a tropical swimming paradise, an indoor skating rink, a summer toboggan run and many nice restaurants and terraces. Mountain bikers will find well-marked routes here in different difficulty levels. A trip to Winterberg is also worthwhile and is a 25-minute drive away. In the summer, when the weather is nice, a visit to the reservoir Diemelsee is highly recommended. Here you will find sandy beaches, sunbathing areas, playground equipment for children and cozy restaurants and terraces. You can also rent a boat with which you can make your own trip across the lake. In the summer months there is also a tour boat.



Layout
The holiday home is comfortably furnished and offers enough space for 6 people and baby. The living room has a cozy sitting area with television (Dutch channels) and a DVD player. From the sitting area you can walk through the patio doors into the terrace and into the garden. The spacious dining area is located on the other side of the living room. Here too there is a sliding door to the garden. The open kitchen is luxuriously furnished and equipped with all modern conveniences: dishwasher, oven, electric hob, fridge with freezer, microwave, coffee maker, kettle and a sandwich maker. There is also a spacious toilet on the ground floor. On the upper floor there are 3 bedrooms and a spacious bathroom. The master bedroom has a double box spring bed and a wardrobe. The second bedroom has a double bed and a wardrobe. The third bedroom is equipped with two single beds (0.90 x 2.00 m.) And a fixed baby bed. On this floor is also the spacious bathroom with shower, toilet and sink.

The house is very suitable for people who love peace and quiet and nature. The large garden around the house is south facing and has two terraces, one with a picnic table and one with a spacious 6 person garden set.

We had a great fun time in the house, and were lucky to enjoy it
of fresh snow and sun.
The men went skiing and the smaller children enjoyed nature and snow.
Willingen and Winterberg are very pleasant towns to visit and definitely worth it.
Everything is in perfect order !!

Had a wonderful week. Beautiful walks, quiet location.
Many birds seen in the area; red kite, hawk, black redtails, yellow buntings,
many different tits, beautiful bullfinch in the evening sun.A woodpecker who watched us from his tree hole.
We could see the roe walking from the living room. Awesome!!

Unfortunately our week is already over.
We would have liked to have the cottage a bit longer
