Welcome to our small mountain (Le Theureau in the dialect) with peace and quiet and a great view over the rolling hills of the South Morvan. We offer a six-person Gîte of 150 m2 with three bedrooms, two bathrooms and lots of privacy.

For all our guests we have a lovely swimming pool available, with a partly covered terrace with sun loungers and parasols. Our site has sun and shade all around. Due to its location on the hill and at the end of a dead end road, Le Theureau has a beautiful view that you will not get tired of.

Tom and Inge are the proud owners of Gîte & Chambres d'hôtes Le Theureau.
In July 2023, we were on holiday in nearby Luzy and fell in love with the charm of this area. "If we can live here..." Barely three months later we came across Le Theureau and the rest is history.
We hope that our guests will be as enchanted by the surroundings as we are. Enjoy to the fullest!

Explanation of the prices & cancellation policy

The landlord will charge the following amounts, depending on the date of written cancellation by the tenant:

  • In case of cancellation up to 90 days (exclusive) before the start of the rental period: free of charge
  • In case of cancellation from 90 days (inclusive) to 42 days (exclusive) before the start of the rental period: 30% of the rental price
  • In case of cancellation from 42 days (inclusive) to 28 days (exclusive) before the start of the rental period: 50% of the rental price
  • In case of cancellation from 28 days (inclusive) to 14 days (exclusive) before the start of the rental period: 75% of the rental price
  • In case of cancellation from 14 days (inclusive) before the start of the rental period: 100% of the rental price
  • If the tenant only announces on the day of the start of the rental period or during the rental period that he will not make any use of the leased property, the tenant will continue to owe the full rent.

Location & area recommendations

Additional information

The Morvan is an ideal environment for walking and cycling because of its landscape. In the immediate vicinity are beautiful gravel and mountain bike trails, but you can also get along with the 'normal' electric bike. The Bibracte museum on Mont Beuvray is well worth a visit. The excavations around the museum can be visited free of charge. Places like Autun at 30 km. with cathedral and the largest Roman theater outside of Rome. Vézelay+Avallon in the North, Vichy+Nevers outside the Morvan.
